Daniel,

What you did is just like the cagers in Singapore Roads. Despite fast coming vehicles from behind, they have the stinky mentality of I signaled into the right most lane. All vehicles behind me MUST SLOW DOWN and GIVE WAY. This action will many unwanted accident and unhappiness. You are moving from middle lane to right most lane, you should already checked and go immediately. I think what he didn't expect is you pause and still change your lane to rightmost lane even though he is coming fast and furious.

He wanna speed, let him be. With that fast speed and lane splitting, i dont think he care anyway.

As for me, I NEVER lane change to right most lane when there are bikes coming. I take it all bikes coming from rightmost lane are FAST. I do so only after if there are no bikes. I believe that is the safest method to use on singapore road now.

Maybe u missed the first part of this issue. My point is before changing from lane 2 to lane 1,i checked twice. Between the checks is roughly split second difference?

During the 1st check I didn't see the s4 at all. It could be due to the lightning and could be at that instant the s4 sauce by side with another car.

But when I checked the 2nd time I saw the s4 and it was like "where did he come from?" this I evade.

What I'm trying to say is, if you wan to speed, be responsible and more alert. Also that not everyone like me will check multiple times and be able to spot.

Also u have mention "I don't think he care anyway". This is 1 of the point in driving at too. Please do not operate a vehicle and so not care for others. This is the real CAGED mentality. I have no idea why you instead assume that I was the one with this "I don't care" attitude. Like I said at first, could be u missed the first part and only read the part which was in response to deus and thus missed much details.

Today riding in the super heavy rain. the rain is natural, i dont mind at all. but the road!!! i notice nowadays the road work patch that many contractors do are very badly done. very uneven. and also so many . i have to kind of memorise which part of the road the unevenness are and try to avoid but somehow, i still come to that same place. when i come out from my block , its not so bad, but once am reaching to the entrance to PIE from Bukit Batok, aiyoh.dont lta have a standard?? dont they check on the roads?? cars, lorries, buses have no problems because they have many wheels. but bikes got mostly 2 wheels. very unbalance. arrrrggghhhhghh. just exploding

This afternoon saw a young driver, swaying left & right on lane 2 PIE (City) near Jalan Bahar exit. I overtook on lane 1, saw him SMS-ing. So I showed him middle finger.

should bang and kick his car door, make him pull over at the side, then whack him up.

drivers using phones... my pet peeve number 1...

Yeah, but speed limit is still 60, right on many road, except for certain hiway?? even with visibility limited, speedometer doesnt lie. whats with water logged, the speed these lorries and cars moves, can just wash a bike aside like ikan bilis.

They claim they can't do anything about it but I believe its just a cost cutting measures in materials and workmanship. Of course any accidents caused by the LTA is on your money and your fault so yeah, be careful, the LTA are like the retarded dogs of the govt, will bite both thieves, guests and owners alike.

Rain or no rain a real rider rides on.
True. I do not mind the rain but I do mind the drivers who still do their 'stunts' even when road conditions are bad. Getting drenched by the rain is fine by me.

Unless u advocate speeding recklessly without a care for others then I keep quiet here. If not pls read on.

I stated that I checked, signal while changing lane toward lane 1. The s4 sad speeding on lane 1 while overtaking cars by going over to lane 2 and back to lane 1.

In the above scenario, the s4 would have seen me first since the s4 is looking ahead. I after checking blind spot and since I wouldn't know the speed the s4 is traveling, I would have made the judgement that it is safe.

Thank you for agreeing that I check blind spot more than once is a good thing. But no thank you that only the one changing lane into faster lane need to watch out. FYI, it wasn't 1 sec, I think on the road dun Ve such luxury of 5 second for you to think and react.

You are right that in the end the s4 only has to answer to TP. My only complaint is that while you are speeding, please do so with consideration to other road users. I'm kiasi type, how many others are not? I will check multiple times and luckily manage to avoid u. How many others wouldn't?

Deus, you have your opinions, but I do hope while and If u speed, to look out for others Becoz unlike me, there are other road users that won't look out for u.

Not everyone is as kiasi as you, or 'care' as much as you. And not everyone is obligated to think like you too.

There're all kinds of ppl on the road. Some more reckless than you, some much more skillful than you, and some more cautious than you. You can't dictate the way they behave.

So just take care of yourself on the road. Be more concerned about your own safety instead of others. There's no point whining to a person who doesn't care about you. Same case for whining about your incident to ppl who have probably seen things like this over and over again.

Sh1t like these happen. Move on and get over it.

he isn't whining, he is just sharing with us what he encounter on the road, isn't what this thread is about?

Dun read my post thanks. But I thank you that at least you understood my point already.

I totally agree that not everyone is obligated to think like me, but that's me. If I see something wrong around me and it is within my mac be to attempt to correct, educate, I will try.

Thus I try to on the road, advise those drivers, riders or reprimand them on the spot when I can.

For this particular case, I can say it for you so you can save on your typing, it is useless. Others can think how they want. Thus you shouldn't stop me from trying to educate. My opinion is that there is still hope for some motorist. There are those like what you said will insist on their own mentality regardless of right or wrong. But there are also those who fail to see their mistakes, but once advised will be able to correct themselves.

Of coz there's the group that become digits...

Sharing is fine and then engage in meaningful conversation and exchange of thoughts. But from the reply above mine, does it sound like 'sharing' to you? This is a public forum and he tell people dont read his post? Then why share? Subsequently tell the user to save on his typing. That is sharing?

All I am reading is defensive sharing. HE IS RIGHT. Everyone else words and ideas are wrong. Thats why no one else bothered to reply him at all.

As he want to try to educate others. It seems he doesn't others to educate him. This kinda of attitude/mentality is flaw to purposeful conversation.

Relax people... Every one has their own perspective on things... We all come here to share experiences... Who knows, what we read here might save our lives one day... Because different perspectives on different scenarios gives us options to choose from... Examples...

A scenario of a car abruptly changing into your lane without signaling.

Person A says use emergency brakes.

Person B says speed up and overtake by the side.

Person C says change to another lane and continue the speed.

Implications of the actions:

A - a car behind might not brake in time and hit u.

B - might get hit by the car changing 2 lanes abruptly instead of just changing 1 lane.

C - might get hit by a faster car if u cut into the right lane abruptly.

Many options, many different outcomes. As for me, I can just say that "sh1t happens anytime, anywhere, when u expect it and even when u least expect it to happen." Just ride safe... Everyone has their own riding style that they're accustomed to. Fast or slow, big bike or small bike, as long as they arrive at their destination safe and sound, why bother about their riding style? Just don't put other motorists into harms way, it won't be a problem to me...

Only encountered before 1 Malaysia kup racer going about 140km/h, riding inconsiderately and recklessly, I waited for a chance to ride up to him and ask him slow down. Which he did. Bikers are bikers. Drivers are drivers. We can't change anyone's mentality, we only can advise and share experience. Peace... ;)

haha in the end its either u r suay or u live. no matter how careful or reckless u are. u only need the big vehicles to crash into u to put u on the ground.

share is good! but dont assume ur way of riding is any safer then others cause ur just lucky u haven met with an accident.
