In the last 3 days , while riding i nearly had accident because of FT lorry drivers. 1st: while riding from AYE exting at Clementi Ave 6. just about at the slope there was lorry broken down. Now this lorry, was overtaking me from the right as we exit the AYE. As we went up the slope, about 50m away traffice slowed down because of another lorry broke down, this FT driver suddenly swerve to the left and nearly hitting me. Its not he never see. i was all the time infront of him until near the breakdown. I horned and just i was near him , i saw him entering a construction site for new condo. today: another Ft lorry driver but this time at eunos. sheesh. HOW THEY GET THEIR LICENCES??????

I believe they just need to take theory test, pass it and they get the license. All their license have expiry date. 99% of them probably bought their license from their country.

 

I getting quite piss at the counstruction site near JEM. Wtf they got so many lorry park along side the road leaving only 1 lane. Is it even legal. Becoming their ah gong road

i was travelling on lane 2 of the 2 lane road, container truck in lane 1, both vehicle going straight on a straight road steadily. when i was beside him, he tried to make a sudden turn into a company, cutting across my lane in order to enter that coy. although i jammed brakes and swerved i still head-on his side.

 

although i get to drive the pickup home, normally i stick to riding my bike, as that road is where i usually passes while returning to office, immediate thought was 'if i am riding my bike now, would i still be able to survive?'

 

shivers at this thought. no matter how safe we ride/drive, is really depends on other road users.

I concur. We can ride safely or defensively or whatever you call it. It just takes one reckless driver to end it.

What's up with Caltex these days? Bad business? Several stations closed in fact one of my most visited (dover) closed permanently and amk ave 3 converted to esso.

 

And a few others closed too not sure if it's reno or something else.

no idea, the bukit batok one was tearing down/renovating when i tried to go there last sat to pump petrol for company vehicle (can only go caltex)

Just for your info, they can convert their india/china/etc etc license to singapore license just by paying mere $25 at any driving centre branch while us local have to spend thousands and thousands passing practical lesson to pass.. How they get their license u ask? Actually countries like China you don't really even need to take any practical lesson to pass them one by one, just pay lump sum, fill up form to apply for the license, go home wait for the license to mail to your home, then bring over singapore and convert to a singapore license.

some company still got the courtesy to force their worker to take up local class 4, they are still willing to spend abit for their upkeep though they hires this ft. but others(the most extreme ones) will keng their brain all the way just to maximize the profit as much as possible, till they dont care if you or the china guy dies. chances are he may properly even instructed the china guy to drive as reckless as he can and time him 40 mins to drive from changi to tuas. then when accident occur, just blame the china guy. must know you may not be blaming the correct person.

When the pressures of cutting costs to maximise profit, people will cut corners. Also the lack of control over hiring practices or overlooking authority, basically they just wait to get caught, when they are, well the TP can't fine the PRC so he has nothing to lose. Well all in all I blame the PAP anyway.

Guilty of playing cat n mouse run with a CTR from SLE - BKE - KJE.. Before corporation exit we both slowed down and he wind down his windows. When was about to give a frenly wave to the driver, what totally shocked me is that he has his small son sitting beside him. :what: age should be ard 4 or 5?! :what::what:

today while riding.

was riding on balestier road towards balestier just before the ceylon sports club

as i am heading towards the CTE towards city, i signalled and overtook a toyata picnic and stopped in the traffic as it was red light ahead.

dunno wad the F the driver of the picnic was thinking, he just drove up beside me and squeeze in the lane with me.

then i felt the front wheel of his car brushed against my shoe and he kept inching forward machiam wanna force me out so he can be ahead.

one more inch and my foot will be crushed
