hey wanna ask someone who got the same problem with me...

when i on my ignition,

my voltmeter show 12V

but when i attempt to start the engine using the start button..

it like shorted and volt drop to below 9V and couldn't start the bike and only can push start...

everytime i attempt to start it will have "tag tag" from the right chrome cover area...

what wrong?

i usually get loads of white smoke when i start the bike w/o choke. (normally i would start the bike after more than 6 hours of rest due to work/sleep). but when i start riding, almost no white smoke, i would turn behind and full throttle, look at the car's bright head light, almost nothing. traffic light junction, did the same, throttle whilst in neutral, v. v. little ...

is it normal?. after long distance, there will be v.little white smoke.only when i start the engine then there will be loads of white smoke, such that it can kill aedes mosquitoes nearby...

i'm afraid my piston could jam like my friends, not enough 2t consumption, then after awhile, piston jammed.

replay, was it like that before?. hrmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

btw, i did fix the 2t tank and everything... hrmmmmmm. using 2t esso pace.

Sounds like a wiring issue. The sound you hear occurs when you have insufficient voltage to properly run the starter motor.

It's quite normal for a 2stroker to have lots of white smoke before it's properly warmed up. No worries.

to hear that from you, i can assure it's okay for now..

thanks!:thumb:

sup bro, yes it was like that before, cos the 2T would have settled to the bottom of the tank. now that you've done up the 2T pump, i can't advise. cos i have no experience.. :)

:help: Just now when fixing an extra LED parking light, I accidentally short circuited the wires under the seat. Now when I switched on, no neutral light and also cannot start.

After a short circuit, may I know what needs to be changed?

Hi Luintoxon,

I am a bike mech idiot.

But I'd like to try this question.

Have you check the fuse if it's damaged/broken wire?

It's at the "right" side of the bike inside the chrome cover I think.

Please don't humtum me if I am telling nonsense okie...

At least I try....

Cheers!

Hee hee.. Thanks a lot. I go have a look at the fuse.

Actually the full scenario goes like this.. I tried to fix extra parking lights on my side boxes. Everything goes well until I accidentally taped the live (red) and earth (black) wires together. :slapforehead: Then short-circuit.

Anybody else got any suggestions please :(

Oh... like this cases... I also encounter many times on my bike.

ERP wires, signal wires, headlight wires, tail light wires....

It's full of wires here and there.

I got a feeling 99.9% is the fuse problems.. Heh heh heh

Cheers!

Thanks brother. :thumb: Fixed the fuse and everything is fine now.

Heehee. Here's the pic of the sideboxes' parking lights

:cheeky: Btw, if anyone wanna fix parking light or brake light on side boxes, u can fix them using the 3M dual lock velcro so that if you want to remove the side boxes u can remove the light first.

Just a tiny suggestion :)

hmm do rmb LED is low power consuming right..think it should be fine with the voltage rating and etc.. unless he keeps it on when engine not running and charging the batt.. hmm wonder if i'm right

Posted

Mmm.. Right. LED is low power consuming.

Actually the pic shown is with brake on. Therefore you can see that the LEDs are quite bright comparing with the brakelight.

Posted

but won't it still drain your batt..? i mean if u wired it up in such a way that its connected directly to the battery..

O... I think I realise the confusion here.

Parking light is actually the tailight which will light up when you switch on the headlamp. Not those pattern lights that those cars have when they are switched off.

Of course, it drains from the battery but it will stop draining when the headlamp is switched off. :)
