hire-purchase means it's not a one shot payment method i think.

 

you handle it monthly or annually, such a form known as installment.

 

yeah, i guess that's it.

 

as for the chain and stuffs, wait for the experts to reply ya.

Bro nojam, you may want to use the user-friendly search function regarding the chain queries. It's been discussed many times...

 

I personally recommend:

Chain - DID O-Ring. Would go to Pl*n*t Motors if im you.

Chain Lube - Maxima Chain Lube/Wax. Good, doesnt swing to your rims.

EO - i'm a Loyal Maxima Semi-Syn or Red Semi-Syn user. Tried many others, didnt work for me, and i dont see the point in spending extra for Fully-Syn for a bike that has gone way beyond running-in stages. This is my subjective view.

what do u mean by gear 6 spoil? correct what. u only have 5 gear. we usually include neutral as one gear.. hazard light cheap cheap only la.

Maxima is #1 for me..most would agree with me thats its better than most brands..just that its kinda costly if you were to change like me monthly or less.you want better feeling mentally and physically pay more like me lo.

i think hazard lights they do DIY dirt cheap..got a guy Replay doing it i think..you can try asking him for help.

today while riding, i can hear metal knocking sounds from below my tank.. it happens when i close throttle or when i wanna slow down.. is it a big issue..?

i also have these metal knocking sounds from below my tank, not sure whether its the same or not. i asked my mechanic about it, he said its a manufacturing fault, asked me not to worry about it. he said if the sound gets very loud, can go back to him to get something changed, i forgot the name of the part that he mentioned but its inexpensive. hope this helps

You are wrong. Phantom has 6 gears EXCLUDING neutral.

Dude get your mech to check the tensioner at the engine block.

If the noise sound like this "kok kok kok" at the engine, replace the tensioner before it get into greater damage.

phantom got 6 gears, if i remember correctly, each gear plate cost about 60 SGD, that i read in forum before.

 

Hazard light, lookfor DIY session is the best option.

if u go to shoop they will chage u 20-30 SGD.

had it changed for 55 SGD and problem solved.

Yah, its the rubber ring which holds the speedo-cable to the front fender. It doesn't really serve any purpose. Coz when I bought this bike that time, it is already not there. Just curious to find out how how much it costs and where to get it, just to seal up that hole on the fender coz I find it looks quite ugly with this hole on it...

is there a way to tune my valve to open earlier or later??..

 

btw, i checked the opening of my valve, it opens up rather uneven. it turns in clock-wise motion i suppose.

 

i revved it quite a few times, well alot of times to see the valve opening and close...

 

it opens quite easy in about coming full throttle. i really can't go into details as we lack the tachometer. hrmmm.

 

but anyways to sum it all up, to make it open up much more even or smooth, is it time to clean the valves??.

 

the mech qoute me about 65 SGD to clean the valves and seal (not sure what seal).

 

btw, any of you have any knowledge regarding tuning of valve?.

yes, from what i heard from mech,

if chain tensioner fails, the consequences are timing chain will fail and piston jam..

correct me if i am wrong...

like duh you already said "empty" of course sounds diff.. speed & acceleration you want increase?? how fast? till your ta200 can chase casey stoner side by side on the track??

 

anyway if you want sth out of the world, don't do anything to your stock pipe(what you have now on that god darn ta200) order a pipe from a crazy fella that sells it(so they say)..heard panda's pipe is on the way.

This morning i found a dent the size of a pingpong ball on my fuel tank, to the right of the speedo, do you guys know where or how to fix it? and also when i took over this bike that time got one very light and long scratch on the fuel tank abt 20cm, anyway to remedy it also? pls advise, thanks
