No one rides around so long just to charge their battery. But a typical bike battery would require around 20-30 minutes of riding to be fully charged. Even if you charge your battery regularly, it doesnt change the fact that battery material deteriorates with time and usage; we're talking about highly reactive material. I have a friend who used to do what you did. After 2 plus years his battery leaked. Don't have to elaborate on the damage that did to his bike.

As with regards to my phantom, I could understand why you would want to take the risk. But with my r6...I'm not about to save a couple of bucks, taking on the risk that the aging battery may just go bust on me.

And oh yes, why is your battery a 'her'? Female battery lasts longer ah? HAHAHA.

Hi guys.

I'm a long long way to getting my 2B. But I need a learning helmet with the sticker. Dont like to use the school one as I heard those helmet's chances for being a stink bomb is very high.

Anyone knows where I can get inexpensive, full face helmet? With the sticker of course.

Regards

Vincent

each to his own, while i was learning, i didn't mind using the centre helmets, cos after lesson i go straight home. ;) also, i didn't want to carry the burden around while i'm only learning. :)

I've yet to see a someone wearing a full face at driving centres.. lol.

Anyway to jB and replay, the problem's solved! Finally. I think the carb got overflowed and i had to leave the engine running for awhile. After polluting the mscp with white smoke, it's able to run now. Thanks for the advises again yeah!

white smoke!? :faint: TA150 ar?

Wahhhh....Laoda so good got free helmet. I also want, you got any spare full face that look like the one you wearing one or not.

I was just telling him to do that for fun..fun ma to push start a bike when you can kick/electric start it..question for you, does push start have any adverse effect on the inner?

i wanna know too! :D

hey guys today just heard from one of my riding frens he got FINED $2000 BY the Expressway police the Police car with orange stripe on it,

coz he was listening to music on his IPOD while riding, got such thing ah?

:faint: S$2000?!

i got many swimming goggles...wan?

i don't mind.. :D i lost mine some how.. :faint:

may i ask...when pumping petrol..do I have to turn the fuel knob to reserve or off or on? It's strange, my TA150 is giving me 32km/litre. Way too good.

just turn it back on after pumping lor.. while pumping no preference, doesn't make any difference..

32? don't need to turn the knob

 even some TA200 can't get 32 these days.. lol

Those are jus your tots mate....... we have battery that last 7 years already it is really a matter of quality & maintenance.... like everything else......... Yr R6 battery is made in japan but the Phantom is made in Thailand .... I think the R6 battery will last a little longer & much longer if u treat her well ........ Good batteries generally do not leak unless u over-charge them... btw did u friend use a CTEK charger ??? :cheeky:

friction + heat maybe? or dirt? lol chrome areas is the plastic covers? autosol won't help in those I believe..maybe try waxing.

u mean u just go to the petrol station, whip out the army drinking bottle, shove the diesel nozzle in and pump 0.5 litre?

then pump your bike with petrol, go and pay for both types?

why do they sell metal container for taking away petrol if u can just use army green plastic bottle?

puzzled that's all. thx.

metal container? got 1 litre ? i'm thinking of the normal 1.5litre normal big bottle.

practical, especially for those emergency cases whereby the driver/rider is stuck on highway then cab down or sth to get petrol. They need more petrol with the tin container.

theirs is 3L if i'm not wrong.actually petrol does something to plastic, forgot whats the effect.
