yes i know.but i dunno why since young i have a passion for bikes and not cars.well, jus liekt he feeling cruising on the roads with cold breeze brushing againest my cheeks.hmm...passion...nothing beats it.thanks for ya help!learnt one thing today!(about crashbars)

It's the same with me...I was so utterly bored I stoppe learning driving 1/2 way...

Crashbars do help protect your bike in terms of a crash but they aren't all perks and no disadvantages. The bike's maneuverability is severely hampered especially by those wide, anchor-shaped crashbars, and may actually be the cause of the crash itself when you encounter a situation where you have to swerve abruptly because a taxi cut into your lane, or the gap closes while you are squeezing. It is precisely because of this that I do not install crashbars on my phantom. And even if you still decide to invest in one of those, try to get one with a small profile..the smaller the better; all you need to protect are your fuel tank and engine casing..the rest are relatively cheap to replace anyway.

i think both together >$200 ...

sory guys me newbie..so got a few Qs to ask..maybe shouldnt post here sorry ah..i ridin ta150... need to ask...

1. does a rusty tank affect my engine? becoz my mechanic installed a petrol filter on the line goin to the engine..n it has slight leakage. n i pump JB oil..he says JB oil is vv dirty. if i dun put the filter is it ok? or should i 'wash' my fuel tank?

2. i did full service n change a piston at $180. including changin gasket, oil seal, spark plug, washin of cab. n exhaust pipe..reasonable?

3.my friend exhaust pipe has black thick oil drippin out..wats up man...?

3.i live in jurong west..would like to meet ppl around tat area in case i need help on some issues of my bike..

thx!

1. frankly if the petrol at JB is dirty, who makes the cars/bikes there moving along the road ? b.s.

2. not sure for the price, but should be ok ba. cos the labour cost maybe around 70++ ler

3. no idea. it shouldn't be leaking any oil. at most is carbon.

3 ( again ? ) there's usually a small gathering so don't worry. hehe check out the other threads.

u install side boxes to protect you in case of a crash?!

that's so weird...anyway sideboxes affect stability when you are cornering...your handlebars shake like loco and you have to know how and when to shift your weight accordingly.
