Like to check with all the experience rider, is there anyway to appeal for summon?

I was parking on the double yellow line with a parking coupon at harbour front the hawker center carpark. And that got me the ticket. I know it is not right to park there but the thing is I parked there because all the lots are taken up and I need to go to work. Not only is the car park full, the other one beside it also full. In this kind of situation is there any room to appeal?

To me the best solution is to go down to the TP HQ at Ubi, bring your summon letter and tell them you want to make an appeal. It shows that you have sincerity and bother to go down and talk to the warden face to face to resolve it. If your reasons prove to be valid enough, I am sure they will waive the fine.

Don't go down and start arguing with them on why they should not have fined you, rather, admit that you were in the wrong, and maybe because you were rushing for work, and not having any bike lots had to park at the yellow lines.

After which, see if the warden is in a good mood la huh? And pray that the fine is waived. If not go to the cashier and pay $$. The warden I talked to last time was nice, and I was lucky. I wish you all the best.

Just talking from some experience. Hope it helps. Don't worry TPs are human beings, not merciless creatures.

depends on the cost of the fine.

if it's 70 bucks then forget it. TP will tell u tat u better reserve ur appealing when u get caught for speeding or more costly or license costly fines...

Hihi.. U using wat type of oil huh? Semi or Fully syn? I now using fully syn.. But I can't understand y pple say semi syn is better than fully when I'm paying more for fully syn oil..

hmmz...

Mineral oil (sthg tat u use when u run in, becos u wan the engine 'break in' aka 'to have some wear and tear so tat all the components can work in harmony together')

Semi-Syn oil (Between fully syn and mineral oil)

Full Synthetic oil (Lubricates and prevents wear and tear in ur engine)

Think in the logical way.. unless u wan ur bike to 'break in' properly, why use sthg to wear the engine?

hey guys!!!

i've been riding phantom for a while, searched this forum a while but no one seems to say anything about this, wondering if anyone can advise me. 2 stoke engine need 2T, 4 stroke engine no need. i wana ask will adding 2T into a TA200 do any harm or will it make the engine run smoother even? i'm quite satisfied wif my phantom's performance, but cant really afford V-power or super gd petrol all the time, wana discover a more economical way in making the engine run better, yet not affecting the fuel efficiency and not jeopardising the performance or damage the bike. haven try yet, ask a few of my experienced frenz but they oso dunno cos they din hear or try b4. anyone can help? thanks in advance!!!

2T oil was specifically designed for 2 stroke engines. It was never meant to be used in a 4 stroke engine. Based on my understanding of 2 stroke vs 4 stroke engines, I just can't think of how adding 2T to a 4 stroke engine can improve its FC or performance...

Just curious, where did you get this notion that 2T would be good for a 4 stroker?

In my judgement (& gut feeling), you'll be doing more harm to your engine if you try to add 2T to your TA200. Try at your own peril..

hey kiamh,

thanks a lot for answering my query. i've never bothered to find out what 2T is exactly for because i knew rite from the start i wanted a TA 200, not a TA 150 because of main reasons like fuel efficiency and electric start. i knew i'll never wan a 2-stroke engine bike. dont remember where i got the impression from, but i thought by putting 2T into a 2 stroke bike, it makes it run better, dont exactly know how. so this doubt juz pop up suddenly to me, was wondering what's the product if one tries 2T in a 4-stroker. i dont noe what's the product so decided to make use of this thread to clear my query. i'll take your advice, wont try adding 2T to my bike. thanks again yah!! cheers!! :cheer:

hi, i'm riing a custom 4, does it have an air filter? if so how often do u guys change it? thx for helping.

Yes, Phantoms come with air filter. I recommend to inspect every 5000km. Clean/replace as necessary.

Up to your personal reference. I guess every 2000km would be just about nice.

As for how to lube, just observe how Koon does it the next time.

The description is quite involved & I'm really too lazy to type out an entire DIY SOP :sorry:

K, I dunnoe if this would help or worse.

Here's wat I'd done...

I used autosol to remove those spot rusts.

As everyone noes, autosol wil also eat away the chrome & it become yellow-ed chrome, but so far it has been doing fine for me.

After every rain ride, will try to wipe away the dirt water stains.

After every wash, will give a coat of 3M stainless steel polish throughout the pipe.

The oni part were I cant really resolve is the header where it connects to the engine block. Though its not rusted yet, still ok for me.

我们都在不断赶路忘记了出路, 在失望中追求偶尔的满足..

in the bottom of the engine u will see a nut about 2cm diameter from the gear that side. the nut is facing the left if u are sitting on your bike.
