can clutch in.. but cant move.. every gear feels like neutral gear..

 

my mech took apart the engine and i saw the this ring which was holding the bearings in place was broken and he mentioned it needed welding to put back into place.. =x

 

apart from that, the gearbox also has a problem.. some rod i cant remember exactly the name.. 'sub' or what was broken..

 

scary stuff.. i just scared i kena duped into doing unnecc repairs.. n hence kena charged more.

Yes mate the term "playing corner" generally means high speed cornering. But hor the less skillful like me slow speed also crash ................

Btw, kindly give us more info related to your gearbox damage.

Info like bike's age, mileage, prior syndrome will help to clarified some of your misgiving.

There could be some gears related problems prior to the total gearbox destruction.

Or some other unusual sound or vibration that may dismiss your attentions.

 

Sounds like your Cbr is having a heavy damaged gearbox.

Didn't realise... Cbr owns are having more fun then their bikes.

We have a boy dating his uncle.

Together, in a car, they are looking for char boh.

 

Back in the 70s, mini skirt was hotly in fashion.

During that period, young uncle most likely had his eyes fixed on mini skirt char boh teacher.

When the corner at Topaz rd was inching by slowly.

The longkang alongside must have welcome the young uncle to realised his dreams.

If that mini skirt teacher rushed over to the longkang helping this young uncle.

That rewarding feeling was priceless.

This is only a fairy tale story... if wrong version from actual. Don't score me la, hehe...

okay i just got comfirmation. i thot my mech said 'sub' broke.. he meant 'SHAFT'.. so yup, confirmed shaft broken. and due to the impact, a part from the casing that was holding the bearings in place broke off too. piece looked like a ring.. hence now..

 

he is going to change the 'shaft', change bearings, get a new engine casing, do the full service and what nots.

 

piston and everything all in gd condition.. only tthe gearbox tingy lor.

 

suay.. he ask whether i changed gears w/o clutching in or something i may hv done to create such havoc.. cos he has never seen this happen b4. whatmore, a cbr150.. i told him honestly i dont la. prob prev rider lor..

 

its fy plate. mileage only 30k. i may hv heard vibrating sounds but i tot it was normal.. cos it sounded only when i just start engine. while moving no such sounds..

From your workshop finding.

I m thinking, it could be more then a broken shaft.

I m assuming, a cracked gear causes a chain of destruction.

 

One of the many gears in the shaft may crack due to metal fatigue.

This lose cracked piece went in between the gears.

When the gears are force to eat up this lose cracked gear, it force the bearing housing to give way 1st.

When the destruction force wasn't full adsorbed by the cracked housing, the shaft was forced to give way next.

 

Ask your mech if there are cracked gears in the engine housing.

Or if he need to replace some damaged gears.

 

If all gears are in good conditions, than shaft metal fatigue will b the 1.

 

Hope you don't have to pay an arm and a leg for this repair.

Keep your fingers crossed.

It could be as simple as faulty cam chain tensional.

If you are good at DIY.

Remove the tensional to inspect its tension.

Compare the tensional to a working or new piece.

DO NOT over tighten when housing it back in place.

 

Dont over rev your engine till it is fixed.

If the loose cam chain jumped a tooth. It may not be as simple anymore.

 

Other alternative? Go into shop liao...

that's a horrible knocking sound you got there..... heard it before before my friend's RxZ piston seized. That is the sound of bengkok conrod....

 

That's why i very reluctant to join those touring gang say need 110km/h minimum speed.... its very stress to our bike.
