I'm interested in getting a cbr 150.

Wanna know if it's possible to get a decent working 2nd hand of this bike within $2k?

And...what would be the price range for the insurance of this bike for a P-plater which is 21 years old?

ntuc 3rd party at least now got 800+ for p-platers. imo save up more first before blowing on a bike because bike got prob very irritating one...

140km/h straight road.... but you always top speed engine very xiong....

 

r15 look more stylish, from far look like r1... very fat.

 

CBR look very slim, from far close one eye and squint abit look like V strom!!

 

Both 6 gear, both fuel saving but r15 is Fuel Injection controlled by computer whereas CBR is good old Carburettor.

 

$7K for a new r15 on the road....

 

$4000 for a FBD CBR machine price.

 

You do the math.

 

 

if u are out for looks and style R15 wins. if u looking at no frills, and easy riding... cbr150 will do the job well... with lesser price..

i met a fellow cbr rider at planet the other day..his rear taillight got a koyak socket..

asked him why dun wanna replace, he said they only sell it as a set..and it costs a bomb apparently @_@

 

in the event u decide to replace it, in the garage sale section there was one guy selling parts for 2b bikes..including cbr taillight for 10 bucks? but i think sold by now :o

if u like can source for 2nd hand one from vtec88, he might have

 

juz in case the original wire harness for rear taillight is not available individually (i.e. sold together w/ taillight as a bundle only) or if the pricing is tok gong, u may consider getting aftermarket taillight set at relatively cheap price. maybe ard $20+. it comes included w/ aftermarket wires and bulbs.

quite popular amongst the cub/rxz riders who seem to love swopping their original taillights w/ cbr150's.

it is cbr150 taillight w/o the transparent plastic cover.

prolly aftermarket set, but gd enough for usage.

got to make sure that the red & orange colored lenses dont fall off overtime though. :thumb:
