wth.... is that even possible???

I Jam piston usually lack of lubrication, we had a certain someone who rode without coolant and a certain someone who kept riding the bike at >10k RPM at a long stretch.... In both cases their pistons jammed cos their engine oil was dried up at sustained high revs....

So i'm guessing that your oil was "eaten" or god forbid, leaked through a cracked sump case....

Pls take care of your bike since you ride very often and the bike will take care of you.

Always check your oil levels regularly if you intend to cover heavy mileage. I personally do not check, but i change EO every 1000-1500km and have been safe so far...

May i recommend AGIP 10W-40 to our CBR riders. I have been using it for about 1000km now and i have to say its a very strong EO, no need to down gear to tap the power... just open throttle and the bike takes off....

Also ever since removing the fairing.... the engine is very cool... hence the engine oil does not degrade as fast as compared to fairing on!!! already clock 1000km and it still feels new!

hello friend!

we welcome all bikers, big (Derrick) or small (Elizabeth), tall (Nils) or short (Chris), yellow (Kenneth) or red (David), Vespa (you) or CBR (me). i hope you will enjoy your stay!

I thought I wasn't part of the family alrdy. Im so touch you still rmbr me.

Anyway, for heavy usage, pls use xxW-50 grade. For daily commuting, xxW-40 is good enough. Any brand will do the job. Rmbr to check eo lvl at least once in 2 weeks. Once a week will be better.

doh, made a mistake this morning. Got up nice an early, weather looks good (dry and clear - though still cold), so decided to take bike into work. Dress up in motorcycle suit, put some lube on my chain, ride into work... arrive at office to realise forgot to bring my normal shoes. Now must walk around all day wearing my motorcycle boots with my normal office wear hahaha... luckily got no meetings planned today

time really flies

my 7th year on 2B this year liao

ti gong bao you. another few more years w/o major accident pls. pray:

But i think a vespa/mp3 would suit me better as i've already set my sights on either 1. Thanks for your suggestion anyway!

Haha i can imagine things flying out from the front basket on the E way.

frm yr choice of bikes, u prefer auto gear?

must be prepared to pay abit more for fuel and maintenance for auto transmission bikes.

Midzi not around, i answer for him... Want performance tong your exhaust pipe, cut holes in your air filter or take out completely. Take out fairing reduce weight, change to spoke rim and sotong tires. Last but not least buy big bore kit rebore your block to 200cc.

Or you could just buy a cheap honda sp and do it up...

haha

it depends on whether into legal or illegal mods lah

legal = air filter, carburettor, ignition system

barely legal = light weight spoke rims + tyres

illegal = exhaust pipe, upsized engine displacement

FOC mod = reduce rider's weight

pricing?

have been on $9/bottle Castrol Power 1 Semi-Syn for a long time. recently find gear changing not so smooth already even after changing fresh oil.

:sian:

not too sure if wan to try Castrol ActivX, a cheaper oil compared to Power 1 Semi-Syn but viscosity 50 instead of 40 (Power 1 Semi-Syn).
