where can renew insurance and wat to do?

depends on which insurance company u wan to buy from.

try calling both Anda Insurance at 65542288 and Commercial Insurance at 63373133 and get them to quote for NTUC Income, AXA, Mitsui.

u need to provide them some details on the bike registration date, model, engine CC, your birthdate, date of getting licence, etc.

strange leh.

the LV for our bike is the most exp amongst the 2b bikes. :sian:

remember seeing LV pipe for honda wave going for promo price of $400 somewhere.

not to forget, may still need to send the pipe for inspection at STA before it is legal to use it on your bike. more money required~

from my experience with approved aftermarket pipe for car, the aftermarket pipe comes with a owner's cert. the pipe's authorised dealer will print yr name on the cert along with the pipe's serial number, etc.

after fixing up the pipe, next step is to bring the bike along with the cert to STA for pipe inspection. cert is proof that u r owner of the pipe (so only stupid pple steal such approved pipes cause they can never make it legal for use on their own bikes). after passing inspection, u will be issued with a letter indicating that the approved pipe on yr bike can be used legally.

u can prolly get the shop to do all the above for u, but u must be prepared to pay for their labour~

general question,

what is the best you like and dislike about this bike?

dislike: not enough aftermarket accessories available in Spore and JB. headlight design can be much better. (look at Yamaha R125 & 150 or even Honda cbr125)

like: low maintenance, relatively affordable spare parts (except for the god damn fairings which cost a bomb to replace whole set), slightly sportywith kupkia's fuel consumption

duno. im not cornering freak, so that 1 or 2cm extra of tyre width is not helpful to me

i find that the tyre is too small, bike is too light.

im heavy. so light bike is good. :)

yea it is as expensive as a S4/RVF getting a good pipe liao. think twice...

Its quite unfair as mentioned, wave's pipe only cost around 400++!

I believe different bike shop got different pricing for this cbr150 pipe, which can vary a lot if u investigate. LOL!

eh... i would like to ask about my brake system.

my brake pump kit was changed 2 years ago.

my brake is quite stiff in a sense, pull a little no significant effect, pull a bit more = full brake. Mech applied WD4D at the drum to alleviate the matter but advice me to change the entire kit which may cost 50 or more.

could it be that the brake fluid was the culprit?

Any advise?

Thanks!

huh? since when cbr150 got drum brake?

if you are referring to brake pump kit, prolly doesn't cost as much as $50 bah?

best is to seek opinion from another shop or goto reputable shop for once off repair. i would try replacing brake fluid & proper bleeding 1st, followed by change of brake pump kit if problem still persists. :btw: r u refering to front or rear brake?

maybe my description a bit off, but when front brake is pressed, the end lever presses against a soft spot (i refer as drum), which the mech applied WD4D direct against.

is replacing brake fluid tedious? im trying to find a proper website demo for it. I have the fluid bottle ready, and other tools are not.

i guess its time to change fluid for both front and rear (correct me if wrong) since the last touch was in 2008?

the problem persists only for front brake though.

use brembo or OEM master cylinder and brake lever. cant go wrong with that.

Might as well change to oversized disc, change to 4 pot caliper BREMBOs.... i tell you 2 finger teh brake the whole bike overturn!!! :lol:http://www.autoevolution.com/images/news/how-to-stoppie-on-a-motorcycle-thumb-7064_5.jpg
