no i dun. my bike could not start when it is in gear 1 or any other gear other then neutral. even if i clutch in the clutch. but once i kicked e gear to neutral, i can start my bike. so i was wondering, is this normal to all cbr for safety purposes but upon reading the replies, i dun tink its normal huh? thx for helping ya.

just thot maybe u dint interpret Red_Devils point correctly.

he meant:

1. start engine when bike is in neutral gear

2. clutch in

3. change to gear 1

when u reach point 3 above, do u feel the bike jerk forward.

:cheeky:

this is to test whether u need to adjust clutch biting point and/or whether your clutch plates are worn.

no. my bike dun jerk forward if i change to gear 1 from neutral. tis is normal rite?

yup, thats normal.

with all this discussion going on..i suddenly thot of smth which may be causing yr unable-to-start-bike-when-engaged-in-gear issue.

there is a sensor found next to clutch lever. i duno whether a clutch-in or clutch-out triggers this sensor. but it's purpose is to detect that the clutch lever is pulled in, before it allows the engine to start while engaged in gear (any gear other than neutral).

u may want to zoom in on this sensor to c if it's working properly. i got a feeling that a disconnected or missing sensor may actually be the cause of the issue.

even w/ the vibrations, the rpm should be able to climb higher and bike go faster.

it's normal to get more vibration during 7-9k rpm range.

beyond which the vibration should get lesser.

so u either stick 7k or below or go beyond 9k if u r not comfortable with vibrations. :cheeky:

Very reluctant go to bikeshop bro as the price might be much more higher than online forum.

thought can get from direct rider here.

Try to change your CDI with aftermarket such as BRT and followed by changing ignition coil & carburetor.

these 3 parts alone makes ur bike feel much more lighter.

looking for fresher engine bro..

FBC plated or newer :)

woo..tink that's going to up the difficulty in finding one.

so far have only seen at best 2-3 cases of FBC or newer cbr150 up in garage sales thread. i vaguely recall a more recent case (at least 3weeks ago) of FBC plate asking for $4.5k. not too sure if it's been sold already or not.

i know that hunting this bike is not that easy.

thanks for the news though.

ASP lo.... FBD $4k plus machine. Fresh enough for you?

FBD fresh enough bro, FBE better still :p

but wish to get the deal around 4k at max

i rode this bike before bro, but just a while.

moreover, 2B bikes (not injection system) is not difficult to modify.

the most only play with CDI, coil, carb, filter, sprocket, clutch, exhaust are more than enough.

if possible, i would like to see ur bike first, as my priority still FBC or newer plate.

may i know the reason you are selling bro?

perhaps can PM me more detail about your bike through PM.

Appreciate your reply :thumb:

most probably yes. but wont be getting new bike. perhaps spec 1 or spec 2 the most. wont be using it for long as planning to get another cbr again in few years time. dont wan to keep 2 bikes at a time, waste money.

unless the new coming ninja 400 is not over-priced.
