SO by your logic.... high charges for skilled labour = Do not take care of customer??

No. The charges are reasonable, except the boss uses unorthodox means of solving problems for you sometimes. I prefer his subordinate, who is more skillful though crude. haha.

Previously i purchased this aftermarket rear tail light set from him. 2 days after, my red rear led melted. I revisited him and he gonna replace with pink sprayed bulb wo the led cover! Although no charges will be imposed, but i casted doubts. However, he assuringly say its ok, i wont get caught but i doubt so.

His employee came back and tend to me. He negatively commented on his boss over this pink bulb and said to me its not gonna work, you wont survive any nearby TP. He helped me fix the melted led back, and the problem was that previously they put a 8w bulb for me, when the printed-on specifications asked for 5w, that caused the melting of the red led cover.

At the end of the day, if i get into trouble, the boss has no responsibility i guess.

Moral of the story, always go to the skillful employee whenever possible, unless you have knowledge and agree with what the boss suggests. The charges are very reasonable to me, except the lack of variety of accessories and products, ie EO.

o ya forgot... new regulations... Have to be registered for a month and clock 50 posts....

Garage Sale Enhanced Rules & Regulations

All new members with less than 50 posts AND less than 30 days of registration are prohibited to create new threads in the Garage Sale section.

This is to discourage freeloader(s) who register account(s) just to sell items (usually of a spam or commercial nature).

All SBF forumers are encouraged to "report post" on shady character and most probably commercial entity posting in disguise.

Any form of post clocking to circumvent the 50 post requirement WILL BE penalised without exceptions!

2. All sale threads must fulfill the 3Ps requirement.

  • Price. All items on sale, price must be clearly stated. This is a one-for-all preventive measure to safeguard the interest of all interested buyers.
  • Photo. All items on sale, a picture/photo must be provided. In addition, please ensure to post the actual item photos, and not to rip off any pictures that belong to other websites or belonging to other members.
  • Phone. All TS has to list down your contact nos. for interested buyer.

Note
: Without fulfillment of the 3Ps above, thread will be deleted without prior notice.

3. Once your items are sold, please update this thread and post the sale thread url link with a (SOLD) at the end of it. This would very much help our mods to act on it to close the sale thread and refrain seller from getting more calls/enquiries even after the items are sold.

4. Once again it will be emphasized that NO SELLING ON BEHALF. Please do not sell on behalf of forummers and non-forummers. Selling on behalf is prohibited to prevent unneccessary sales disputes.

5. All SELLERS are entitled to their exclusive rights in pricing. Buyers are encourage to do your homework when looking for items to buy.

6. All rules and regulations are subjected to changes by the Administrator & moderators without any prior notifications. If the above rules & regulations do not appeal to you, please do not use this forum further and the exit doors are always wide open.

Regards

Management

is spraying paint over the bulb even considered a solution? :faint:

the boss might as well let u have the can of red spray paint (he save the hassle of spraying the bulb for u). when u get stopped by TP, spray the paint onto TP's shades/eyes. then the TP can get all the red color rear lights he/she wants to see~

:cheeky:

Any Offers? :dot:

just to share some experience after having sold ard 3 or 4 bikes thru the garage sales thread. provide all details like condition of bike, etc clearly.

a thread w/ pics is more likely to attract viewers, so do include pictures of the bike. take pictures of any aftermarket accessories (which may help u boost selling price) or any damaged/less beautiful parts (to reduce allowance for bargaining by the buyer as he/she would already have known abt these parts before meeting u up). pictures give pple an idea of what they are going to buy/view, so it saves u time meeting up w/ pple who are just trying their luck.

if you intend to let the viewer test ride yr bike, request to hold on to his bike license when he does the riding. this is to verify that he does possess a valid license + give u higher chance of claiming compensation if the viewer damages yr bike while test riding.

i've got viewers who:

- test rode the bike for 15min in the carpark and at the end of the day, tell me he got no license.

- exchanged so many SMSes and wanted to lower down the price further even after i told him my bottomline. at the end of the day, he didnt wan to buy after i agree to lower price slightly more. he told me it's the process that mattered to him rather than the end result.

Correct me if I am wrong but you are talking about LED light, not bulb. LED should not get that warm, much more energy efficient as compared to bulb. Also, for the other case, the wrong bulb was inserted which resulted in high temperature melting the cover right?

Some sharing again from the European front, went to this event at one of our racing circuits last sunday, mixed event with both motorbike and car races, free access to the whole circuit except paddock area. Great day and some spectacular races.

One incident with a bike in the first lap of the supersports (600cc bikes), rider had a tank slapper and a highside, resulting in a nasty landing in the gravel. Quite a few cars sliding off into the gravel as well...
