the white bulb i got from JB melted the headlight casing on my previous bike.

to be fair, the wattage indicated on the white bulb is higher than the stock bulb.

but another (less white) bulb of the same higher wattage i was using before that didn't cause me any issues.

 

Last time i also got the same problem with you. Melt my whole NSR headlight socket.

3 inch heel you can run faster.... (smaller rear sprocket).... 7 inch heel you will run slower (bigger rear sprocket) but guys see you will try to pick you up very fast... (faster pickup). Faham tak?

 

does it spell doom for my bike or it requires a major repair?

any other viable ways to resolve this issue? The washer has been added back...

 

Pls go to good bikeshop to get it checked..... replace gasket only if it is really leaking.... anyway also not confirm what is wrong... My drain bolt washer also has been replaced and the screw thread is also not good but my engine is not leaking....

i have parked my bike on the same lot, before i did, the lot was 'clean', 2 days later, i observe a fist-sized big round EO patch on the lot vertically corresponding to the EO drainplug, it is definitely leaking from the drainplug since it is wet. the leak rate is very slow however. what could be wrong?

 

i guess one positive angle to see this oil leak issue is that the oil leak rate seems kind of high - if it's big enough to form a visible patch over 2days. it makes detection of source of leak easier.

perform the cleaning + check as i mentioned earlier. it's important to trace where the leak is coming from 1st. else no point dumping money to fix something that's not even the cause of the problem.

 

if the leak is really coming from engine drain plug due to deteriorated screw threads, it is possible to do a re-thread using a slightly larger size thread. then u upsize yr drainplug thread accordingly to match. that should fix it
