Thanks for the replies thus far.

I still looking for a Fazer or any suitable Cl2 bike for my daily commute. Been searching for some time liao, but not in a hurry anyway.

Initially tot of maybe getting a new Fazer, but after a long tot and calculation, I don't think I will ride it for more than 3 years, so no point wasting hard-earned $$$ on 1st hand.

So most likely will be looking ard until I find a suitable bike at the right condition/ price.

Current still riding the S4 which gets me from A to B. The only real good thing is that the FC is good at around 25Km/L.

You can contact Doug at 90670031 (FZ6 04 model under seat exhaust at $9.5K) or if you on budget can call Zee at 91553223 (02 model at $6.3K)

For me, I just bought a Fazer 1000 03 model. I was like you, can't decide on S4, FZ6 or FZ1000. :giddy: Was going to buy the 600 until my friend told me "Why get a 600 and later feel the lack of power and then regret"

I'm not saying that 600 no good. It all depends on what you are using the bike for. If its just for commuting aroung SG, then its sufficent. And bear in mind that it is a powerful bike.

But if you're like me, (I need to travel to Malaysia quite often cos my wife malaysian  ) then the 1000 would be a better option.

Lastly, be it 600 or 1000, its definitely much much better than a S4.

The final decision is always yours.

Fuel wise, not much diff between the 600 and the 1000. At most, just be hard working a bit and go JB top up lorx...

Best of luck to you. :thumb:

Hi,

thanks for your reply.

I think I've contacted 'Zee' before. Maybe 2 weeks ago and I've also seen his bike.

Everything is more or less ok, but it is under COI from a particular bike shop which i am not very keen on. So that didn't work out in the end.

So I am still looking for a Fazer or any other suitable bikes. Went to a few shops recently and just missed out 3 potential deals by days. The bikes were sold off a few days before I went to the shops. I guess I have to be faster. :)

Enjoying your 1000? :)

I've to agree on the Super 4 part. It's good, but I think more power is never wrong. Esp as my bike is getting a bit long in the tooth.

yelo,

still have not got your bike ?

can not compare Fazer6 to Super4 la, 200cc difference sure petrol oso difference too, value for money sure Super4, sexy look sure Fazer la,

Fazer are much higher than Super4, center of gravity super4 feel easy at corner and very mobile, Fazer dont go to fast at corner la, imaging scrambler doing 45 anger corner, but touring Fazer are more comfrotable

why Fazer - just love it

why Super4 - everything ,very good and value for money bike

hope this help

care to explain what is the meaning of " the engine is too peaky,"

for your bike

is it the engine super noisy?

is it the valve knocking and pinging loudly?

is it true that yamaha engines last only 20,000km and then need to re allign the shim and valve clearance due to the valve clearance becomes loose and a loud noise "takking"

if this is true...yame engine surely sucks

I rode a s4 before, and after reading the thread, it seems to me that fz 1 should be much worth it. but it still comes down to comfort, ol consumption and personal purpose..hope to hear more from the fz owners too as I'm also looking into getting 1 after i sold my PB1.

Was wondering if any fz 1 or fz6 rider did touring to thai. the feeling at top speed and cornering. as other sites did review that the fz is swivel through corners well.
