In many countries bikes use as a "life style" (mostly because of weather), while in Singapore ppl use it as a transport first. I think in Singapore is a very smart 3 level system. Surely if I got class 2 lincese instead of 2B first, I'd buy the most powerful bike I have enough money for and would kill myself at the first bend.

well said bro :thumb:

Thanks arsonist

i chose RVF as my first 2A bike.. and ended up selling it after all the repairs and mod in 4 months because i went overseas to work.. lost abt $4k..

when i came back i bought myself a Yamaha Majesty 250cc.. worthwhile machine, only needa change EO and the necessary wear and tear parts..

went overseas again but kept the bike, trade it for a S4.. IMO, S4 can be kept as a transport bike even if you gotten a class 2 bike.. a lot of shops know how to fix a S4..

if you really wanna upgrade a 2A bike, get a S4.. if you get newer ones like Spec 2 or 3, you may needa save up a year or more for your CL2 bike..

like many suggested, get a version s or stick to your SP.. save them up for CL2.. I didnt upgrade because i know if i had CL2 i sure buy CL2 bike.. I'm with my CL2A for almost 4yrs..

my friend also upgrade from SP to R1.. no issues on this, you'll get used to your new bike soon..

Cheers.. Choose wisely..

I'd say sportbike-to-sportbike transition, the RVF does provide an easier transition to your next big bike...but that's IMO.
