Anyone been Hacked b4 ???

recently my yahoo n friendster password all invalid...it happen withn the span of 2days. any 1 kana hack b4 ????

 

after i did a check i realise window firewall was off. usually it was on.

 

com is with spybot search &destroy ,spyware terminator (all shareware) and with win build in firewall(xp).

 

do u think its enuff to deter future hacks ??? . any 1 with experience pls share..

Some might be with keyloggers, may not be kena hacked.

nope man. hey update...com totally cannot go in . it bring me to welcome page. i click my user . it save setting. prompt me to welcome page again. damm it. is this a virus or what ? im now using another com to get in...any 1 have com help line tel or sumthing ? pls help.... urgghh

Its very important to update those Anti-Spyware & Anti-Virus programs at a regular basis. You will never know the attacker is using a new version of the spywares or viruses.

 

Do check to see if your firewall program is allowing other than the programs that you allow to access the internet. Try using AVG Anti-Virus program (Its free for home use), get the free version of coz. So far it is one of the best (Free) as can detect most new ones, updated by the hour (dunno if apply to free one).

 

A good Firewall will prompt you when a program is trying to access the internet. Even if it is sometimes irritating to have to pop-up always prompting you, but at least you will have control what is going to the internet.

 

Another important thing to take note is MANY is NOT good. Too many Anti-virus programs or/and Anti-Spyware programs installed on a system will not only make it slow and consume memory, but might also confused the programs. Stick to one that is well known and reputable, like AVG, Kapersky, Norton, McAfee.

hi. i cant print any screen shots..it cant enable me to get in windows. as for porn site i dont visit . it happen when my firewall was turn off, and yes i found a keylogger cookies when i did anti virus/spyware scan... guys beware.. haizzzzzzzz

Anyways, to attempt a stab at the problem, try this:

- Antivirus scan

- Anti-spyware scan (any fishy, steal-ya-passwords or surfing-habits program)

- Rootkit scan (go here to get it, removes the most stubborn viruses, even those that go "stealth" on ya)

 

As for the password problems, try to turn off your firewall. Then enter Hotmail or Yahoo again. Else, I think someone stole ya passwords and prevented you from entering (probably thanks to some dam* spyware)...
