I just did servicing for my C90.

Bought the following from Eversucess , Lembu Road:-

a) brake shoes front & rear - $10 a pair

b) wheels bearings - $8 for front and $9 for rear

c) air filter - $7.50

All prices b4 GST.

Went to my mechanic and also changed the front & rear spocket plus chain (which all worn out).

After opening the air filter box, realise the air filter was never changed before (wah lau ay...).

The moment I changed the air filetr, my C90 went from a struggling 70km/hr to a smooth 85 km/hr.

I changed the legshield too...$20/- (b4 GST) also from Eversucess, Lembu Road (1 day pre-order).

Yeah man. Thats a nice guy at the counter who will tell you if got original or compatible parts, whether from Japan or other country.

All prices before GST (i hate GST..)

If buy liao dun match, can exchange or refund if it is not opened or used.

And they also open on Saturday till 5 pm.

My XR and Steed parts also get from there. get from them then pass to mechanic to do..can save time and some $$$. Bcoz mechanic will charge you more for parts which they get, and having your part ready means both parties don't have to wait.

Troy, how hard is it to get a c90? And how much do they go for?

Anyone else knows if it's possible to get a c50? Those uber old school with split tank/round headlight one is c50 right?

Hi Guys,

I recently came across a super Cub C90 but it has square headlights instead of round ones. It is original from Japan. Has both electric and kick start.

It doesn't totally has the old school look but abit retro. the bike is register in 1998 I think and it's FU plate if I am not wrong. Anyone know if it's the same C90 you all are talking about? Pls guide me here as i am also keen to join the old school cub group as my dad use to ride one when I was young.

Tks!

So far I have come across 3 only, excluding the one I have. I got mine less than $1K. Selling price up to seller bcoz no market reference. If its not restored, usually $800/- or less depending on COE. The best is when seller lost interest in bike. Previoulsy I sold my 1994 C70 for $550/- only when I suddenly lost interest and felt that it top speed of 80km/hr was too slow!

Out of the 3 C90 I saw:-

a) One was red colour like the usual C70, but I realise it was C90 as it was electric start. And it is the econo-power model which has most labels in English. Saw it at the walkway of Golden Landmark (opposite Raffles Hospital)

The other two is like the one I have, most words in Japanese and two split seats.

b) One of them I saw in Outram Road towards Zion Road. It is green in colour like mine. Saw it on a pavement when driving by.

c) The other silver one has front basket is ridden by a lady at Mapherson area. This one really tip top condition and the lady, I believe a collector, is not selling.
