Hi Guys,

I recently came across a super Cub C90 but it has square headlights instead of round ones. It is original from Japan. Has both electric and kick start.

It doesn't totally has the old school look but abit retro. the bike is register in 1998 I think and it's FU plate if I am not wrong. Anyone know if it's the same C90 you all are talking about? Pls guide me here as i am also keen to join the old school cub group as my dad use to ride one when I was young.

Tks!

Hi

So far I noticed that generally, the Honda Cubs in Singapore are red or blue, and has the sticker 'Econo-Power' on the side covers. Most words are in English. Think it is catered to go for Europe and US market.

For my C90, it is like what you posted "...super Cub C90 but it has square headlights instead of round ones. It is original from Japan. Has both electric and kick start." Anyway 1998 shd not be FU plate. My FR plate is year 2000.

My C90 has plastic protruding emblems which is 'Super Cub' and not sticker "econo-power". The words are mostly in Japanese except tyre information (even meter & fuel wordings also in Japanese)

I think it is imported around 1997 to 1998. My bike's year of manufacture is 1997, but only registered in Spore in 2000. So either it is sent here 3 years later, or like some motor shop purposely keep for display until release for sale due to storage problems.

Its best to have everthing stock to look retro. :lovestruck:

ok guys. Hope you guys are not disappointed.

I dunno how to resize them, so they appear quite large.

Anyway you can see what I was describing.

I tried taking out the legshield, but the air filter intake is over exposed. And the exposed wiring also not that nice. And it just loses the identity as it doesn't look right w/o the legshield.

I tot of cutting the legshield leaving the centre just to cover the frame and air filter intake...but no time lah. And the carpark cleaner throw away my old legshield before I can plan what to do with it. haha

Chinatown lor...haha

Anyway my C90 i oni ride out from office once a week just to run the engine & battery. So hard to come across it.:sian:

Weekends then ride out my Steed once...also to run the engine & battery.:dot:

I ride my XR125 most of the time bcoz thats the oni one with season parking at home. :p

The prob wif 3 bikes is that when you dun ride them, battery goes down, engine oil clots, and brakes get very noisy when you ride them...

Bro, I plc deposit for my super cub liao. It is exactly like yours but the seat is not split. Can you tell me where to buy n how much is it?

But my leg shield is using the C70 instead as the old one is in bad shape. But must modify due to the electric starter on the left.

Think we can meet up and discuss more when there is chance. I will only collect mid Jan. thinking of installing a metal box behind. not sure it will look nice alot. Where did you get your basket in the front. i want to install one too. Pls advise. Tks bro!

Keep you posted.

Bro, you are right. The bike is FQ plate. COE just renew so it has another 10years on the road. how abt yours? Notice your left side of the leg shield does not have electric starter. you hide it behind the leg shield? You respray ya. But My opinion is it lost the look after you change to sports rim. I rather you try find the original spokes...
