Hi can anyone advice?

I've paid an amount of $200 at Albert motor 2 weeks back to book for my bike. I only have a NETS receipt they gave me, no other paperworks.

I've been to other shop but that bike colour i wanted was out-of-stock and managed to saw one at Alberts. So without hesitation, I paid for it. I've yet to pass my 2B but was too excited to get that bike cos they said next shipment dunno have to wait til when or maybe wouldn't take in at all! So I decided to buy it from them.

Can advice if I should get the bike, park it at my place first (w/o COE) just in case Albert cheat my money or delay my delivery when I've passed my 2B? Or leave it to fate and wait til I pass? (test in Sept)

Please help! Thanks

Worst thing to do is buy bike when you have not licence to operate the machine. Waste of time.

TS mention female only.....can see the responses are soften. And lots more guys replying.

To TS,

Since you already drop the deposit, go back to the shop, request to get your deposit in black and white, and start the payments/installment processes.

From getting your installment plans worked out without the Insurances, to the COE, Road Tax or whatever inspections are needed. You also should already instruct them to put in the IU unit, boxes and extra lights if you want to outfit your bike already.

And during this time, you should work out on getting your safety gears, like full face helmets, decent riding gloves, cash cards, touch & go cards & petrol cards.

Sit down with your brother and someone to work out the budget for the petrol, season parking if you live in HDB flats and whatever parking places you need to go to daily.

And you will find, that your $200/- deposit is chicken feet.

jiejie, old thread.
