Hmm.. I think we have a thread discussing the running in methods..

 

Anyway, for me..

 

50km - Mineral Oil

500km - Mineral Oil

1000km - Mineral Oil

1500km - Mineral Oil

2000km - Semi Syth

5000km - Semi Syth

8000km - (considering btw semi and fully syth)

got 3 general classifications for engine oil

 

1. mineral

2. semi-synthetic

3. fully synthetic

 

the classification has got smth to do w/ the oil base used and the additives added to the oil and all that

 

generally pple recommend to use mineral oil for running-in purposes

subsequently its better to use at least a semi-synthetic oil

Using rough Mineral oil for 1st time ( 1 time only ) is vcos it can mild sand the engine area so that piston can run smoother after.

that is what i intend to do, bring X1 up to 2nd link and race with the big bikes...whahahaha!!!!:cheeky:

 

anyway, 50km is a little to much right? at least 500km first ba....whats our HP ahr for this X1?:lovestruck:

just got my X1, i find it it more powerful than wave S better top speed better pick up , never regret!

2nd link not good.. All straights and crosswind too strong.
