There could be hundreds of reason. Start checking if the CPU fan is working.

See a doctor, if u dunno how to meddle with it

Hello! Anyone there?

Here are some possibilities:

  1. Recently-installed memory (also called RAM) caused your computer to behave this way.
  2. Windows might be damaged
  3. Some software that you've installed recently made your computer sick
  4. Some hardware (maybe a webcam, portable drive) caused your computer to behave that way.

FYI: It's not an overheating problem since your computer "auto-restarts" itself.

Computers are designed to shut themselves off completely when they overheat (which in your case, is not true)

I second that. Go see a very reputable PC doctor.

Not those that can simply carry a screwdriver and claim that they are PC experts though.

Good luck, dude...

My brother says there's trojan horse infection. He went into safe mode and use antivirus to remove over and over again .. but once the computer gets connected to the internet, got the same trojan again.

Stubborn Trojan eh?

It has to be some software that you've installed that's inviting the trojan back into your comp. again. Probably freeware apps.

Time to install anti-spyware, i guess?

Spybot Search & Destroy (Enable "Tea-timer" during the install. That way, it'll stop any trojans sneaking up to your PC once you go out onto the Internet)

Get back to us on the results, yea?

I would suggest combining Lavasoft Ad-aware with Spybot.

Do update your Windows, AV and spyware remover definition weekly and run AV once monthly should be sufficient enough.

Install a firewall, Comodo works well for me.

Most importantly, you really gotta be educated not to click on any suspicious URL, poster or porn sites etc...

If really wanna go into detail analysis, you have gotta let us know if there's any new hardware or software installed?

Usually during what circumstances do the restarts happen? After playing intensive gaming or just when connected to network?

What was shown in the screen when restarting? Any BSOD?

Thanks for all the replies. I do have the 2 mentioned software in the computer, maybe they are not configured properly thats why. I dont have a firewall becos i'm using a modem cum router. My bro says thats a physical firewall.

The computer restarts by itself as if someone pressed the 'restart' button. and nothing was showed on the screen.

but when the computer is not connected to the internet , it will not restart by itself.

You didn't give your precious data a chance? That's sad...
