Hello Guys,

 

just 2 things to check for those who are familiar with the battery and Engine oil,

 

1 ) For battery, mine is GPR japan made. Anyone heard of it before? it is a MF type of battery. Costing me 26$... but i think i saw some of u bought for 13 or 15 and I even heard that dry cell, japan made costing 18$.. if we are buying a dry cell or MF type, some are expensive and some are cheaper although they are made in japan , how should we go abt choosing it ? What is the different with those good brand and those normal brand ?

 

2 ) For engine oil, i understand that some brands are cheaper, some more expensive even if they are all fully syn. Can anyone advise for full syn, which brand should we go for and roughly how much ? Like the MOTUL that I purchase, i heard it is good but i find it expensive at $22.( Not sure if this is the norm). Please comment if you experience in this area .

1st of all, i would like to state tis clearly.

i'm creating tis thread not hoping anyone would come in & flame mi abt mod-ing a cup.

e reason i'm doing tis is:

i feel like changing some parts of my x-1, need some advise on e prices & brand avaliable in e market. (SG or JB)

 

i like to change e below list, but not sure of e prices.

any advise on e BRAND, PRICES & LOCATION.

1) rims

2) tires

3) swing-arm

4) flower disc or floating disc

5) exhuast mod

6) wat's e lagest size of carb i can go for a x-1 (believe my stock is 17)

7) all small screws, wanna change to other colourful ones

8) any inverted fork avaliable?

9) e carbon fibre look for some part of e bike... (speedo dash board, front fender, e middle piece of fairing where e small hanger is)

 

anyone had change their parts or added any accessories pls add onto e list.

Bro, how to get to JB Ah boy? is it along the left side of the road toward pelangi, hoilday inn and sentosa after the TP HQ?

What the size of the racing boy sport rim? what colour? does it come with the hub?

Yes, it comes with the hub. I just paid $ and they did everything nicely for me.

What is the best time to go down J.B either on sat or sun which have no jam at the causeway?If no choice then i go by Tuas checkpoint and go to travel at least 30km then i can reach J.B

Weekends confirm super jam, with all the malayisans going back.

 

Weekdays afternoons are the best. Anyway, the JB Ah Boy opens until 930pm daily.

i'm back from my JB hunting trip!

here's e result of my search:

 

Sups: they got 'LONG' RM130 & 'SHORT' RM170

for longer shocks, u'll have diff with e main stand.

to solve, u need to weld additional height onto it, making it higher.

result is, higher shocks will make e tail 'look' higher.

as for shorter ones, they're e same length as e stocks one.

 

Yoshimura 'Lacing' footrest. RM250

colours avaliable r red, bronze, blue, chrome.

x-1 got its own, so wave or other makes cannot fix.

e above info was told to mi by one of e mec.

 

Yoshimura swing-arm. RM250

colours avaliable r red, blue, chrome.

thicker than the stocks one.

comes with all shaft & nuts.

 

Rim + tires ( i ask for e cost as a set)

-6 spokes sports rim & TT900 RM300
