I've just passed my class2B TP and am looking to buy my first bike. But I need recommendation...

My preference would be to get a road bike i.e. a mini-S4 type of bike and am stuck with the following list...

Bajaj Pulsar

Honda Varadero 125

Hyosung Comet

(any more to add to the list?)

I understand that class2B bikes afterall got no performance, but I still hope to get a bike with above-the-average performance from this list as well as reliability. And furthermore, I'm intending to upgrade to class2A a year later.

Which would you guys recommend?

If you confirm upgrading, then your concern is lowest depreciation over a year or a year and half. This means that you should not get a bike that is too young, probably about 3 years or more would be suitable. Of your 3 choices, I'll choose Pulsar.

Need to carry stuff? If your budget is about 3.5K or more, a VXR200 Runner is good, and probably can hold its value quite well.

Cheers

Hmm? I suppose you wish to trade in your 2B bike when you get your 2A? In that case you would probably want to get a second hand bike. Check out the garage sales, theres quite a number of "upgraders" there.

If you wish to purchase a pulsar... you might want to wait for the 200 to come out. price depreciation for the 180 will be quite obvious... the depreciation is already starting. ;)

Bajaj Pulsar 180 - UG3 (2007 - )

Suzuki GSXR-400 (2008 - 2009)

Piaggio Vespa GT 200L (2009 - 2011)

Yamaha YBX 125 (2010 - )

Yamaha FZ S1 '05 (2011 - )

a pulsar would be a good choice, although im riding a vara, cos its fuel consumption is power man! haha =)

It's not how fast you ride, but how well you ride.
