Was @ $1 till last 20mins then went north.....

to make it simple, assume 5 COEs available, 7 people bid as follows:

 

A- $1

B- $1

C- $2

D- $5

E- $200

F- $5000

G- $10,000

 

Bidder C,D,E,F,G will get the COE at $2

 

Your example is correct, but maybe to clarify, lets set the bid amounts a bit differently. Same thing, 7 bidders, 5 COE:

 

A- $1

B- $1

C- $5

D- $5

E- $200

F- $5000

G- $10,000

 

Then the buyers C, D, E, F, G will get the COEs at $2 ($1 more than the highest unsuccessful bid).

 

Another scenario, same thing, 7 bidders, 5 COE,

 

A- $1

B- $5

C- $5

D- $5

E- $200

F- $5000

G- $10,000

 

Then E, F, G will get COEs at $6 ($1 higher than highest unsuccessful bid), 2 unawarded COEs will be brought over to the next exercise (because there were 3 equivalent bids for 2 remaining COE).

Is there a maximum number of COEs one dealer can buy? If no maximum, then a dealer can hoard all the COE and keep the supply. That will drive up the price.

COE must be use with in a year if i am not wrong. if never use with in a year. have to pay $20 or 200 per COE i think.. so the winner is still the dealer.

Let say I want to buy a new bike and the COE was bidded last month from the motorshop. May I know when is the start date for this COE.

Coe start when the shop reg the bikes.

 

Remember to check the Coe price u pay is for last month or on new Coe.

 

Some shop will sell the Coe they bid cheaper but sell at current higher bid Coe price. On paper is lower but pay higher. So best is check everything before sign any document.
