Since you are OK as long as it is 4444, why not go bid for it on LTA?

 

If I understood correctly:

1) if you bid a NEW number (not including the bid price), you only need to pay $300 to transfer it on your current vehicle

2) if you buy FM4444L from someone and register it onto your current vehicle, the transfer fee at LTA is $1.3K

3) unless you are transferring FM4444L on a NEW vehicle, then transfer fee is $100
