point being, its always i know someone who earns this much, or my friend knows someone who drives a lambo. but we never hear it from the people themselves.

WEnt to FRACS yest.... saw this flying school, cost a bomb.. They teach until IR/CPL, any comments on this sch??

 

from wat I gather... is a 15mth, full time course. can oli hold malaysia license... the principal said, now the policy from malaysia side is that, they dun accept new Sg pilot, even if u pass out from here... and they say, Sg side will not probbably accept their license.... so its a bit no point.... even if u got money to enrol....

no... you get CPL.. go get your own jet rating lah.. it's all about $$$. ..

OIC. But ur example is too far-fetched, "cousin of a friend's sister". Thus we know u are trying to bring up a point and just wanting some attention.

 

At least my example is a friend of mine.

Has anyone self-sponsored themselves, went to MAS or AUS to get their CPL, Instructor rating and landed themselves a flying job anywhere (eg. Instructor) and carried on to a airline?

 

It seems the boys up north ain't too friendly and are rather protective of their own job market which makes the job prospect there for Singaporeans rather low.

one of my orthopedic surgeon did it!!!, he's the guy who cut off the fellow's pelvic to save him

Which aviation school did he go to and he is now a surgeron or a pilot?

He going to quit ttsh this march.. and become part time surgeon. think he is going to resume his flying sch!!! but tmd... he oli like to teach chopper.... though he has cpl!!! did I mention he has his own aircraft!!!

That sounds amazing! Where did he get his CPL? and is he teaching in Malaysia or Aus? or somewhere else?

i think he got it in sg or malaysia,, not sure.... he used to have sch in Thai and malacca, if 'm not wrong... very outstanding person!!! lol.. not to mention he a commando MO too....

joining RSAF will stand a better chance in getting a place in SIA? i have heard from frens that its very very hard to get choosen to be a SIA pilot from RSAF ... there can be alot of applicants but only few are choosen a year

 

can join as a cadet in SIA with PPL or CPL?

 

SIA dont accept students from foreign aviation school? such as New South Wales? cause i have enquired them about their school of aviation.. think the money is really not a problem to me ... ard 200k - 300k with expenses calculated

now i just want to know if pursuing a bachelor in aviation in other countries like austrialia or new zealand can stand a chance in getting a job as a pilot in SIA?

 

i have a friend who studied overseas became a pilot in SIA ... he is not a local, he is just 23 years old this year and already is sitting in the second seat

jus bought the flight simulator package... seriously think tt its a good start to experience flying this way.... super realistic, got private tutorial somemore...

Flight sim training at a flight school? They sell such packages w/o actual training??
