the 660s pretty similar to the XT660r specs-wise(heavy but with big 22l underseat fuel tank); if you tried a transplant of the engine I'm sure it'll fit like a glove.

 

If I had to make a guess, the engine on this was modelled very closely after the 90s Super Tenere's. It does look like a grasshopper from the front doesn't it... might spring up and eat you anytime.

Unfortunately, the mentioned model is not available here.

 

Alternatively, do consider TDM 900 for your choice.

i was at Loois last friday and on Mr Lee's desk,some photos of the tenere...

 

Mr Lee said the bike will be coming very soon..when i told him not another false hope again...he said,this time it's for real..but limited numbers and the price is around the price of the new Transalp700...

 

So,you all willing to pay 21grand for a big single....
