looks like it wasnt honda's intention to consume more fuel by putting vtec technology into bikes.. it was meant to improve fuel consumption..

VTEC is meant to improve fuel economy only in the low to mid rpm range. Having 4 valves open along the whole RPM range gives more performance at the cost of fuel while 2 valves saves fuel at the cost of performance. So the best of both worlds! Assuming that those who want the performance will rev their engines to the high ranges, 4 valves will activate then, giving you more power at the cost of your fuel. Not so much in the mood for blowing past people? Low to mid range RPMs give you somewhat better drivability and fuel economy with its 2 valve action.

Got a riding jacket already with guard. Just need a map and set a destination and go.

Need some companion though cause the older I get the more vain I get...need them to help take photo..

Btw, anyone know which petrol station that washes bikes?

the kiosk that washes bike in SG or MY? in SG I only know of SPC towards Harbourfront from Alexandra direction.

All discussing about Vtec? I'd rather not have the "gimmick" and open when I please on a Ver S and have good enough FC too. Vtec only sounds different when opened, performance wise nothing much too amazing :cheeky:

No offence if you think vtec is a big thing. :]

All the more i want your bike. I've asked XL owners all around, they seem to complain about their FCs *crosses fingers*

I'll take it that you want me to PM you first, if I ever decide to sell my bike

(not likely to happen in the next 1.5years though)

i dunno if an air charger may help me.

my sucker like sucking very hard.

Don't think so, I lost ~2km/l when I put in the mikuni & hypercharger.

Sometimes I suspect something is wrong... the FC seems abnormally good (not that I'm complaining)

But then, I do ride rather slowly

so in older honda engines with no vtec have 4 valves all open all the time? how come an engine with 4 valves open all the time saves more petrol than an engine that opens 2 valves in low-mid rpm range? sorry if my question sounds amateur.. :cheeky:

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.
