Victor, got your chrome cover?

yea... I got a chong chrome cover from ah chong... lol it is a little crude but it does the job... :cheeky:

anyway... just now I went second link... wow at 6.30pm no jam at all... so happy...

but...

when I reached gp esso, IT WAS CLOSED!!! so was petronas... apparently there was a blackout in the area and both stations are downed... omg I was almost condemned to a fate of pushing bikes (many people did... one was pushing a 500cc scooter :dozed:)... but luckily I managed to reach the south bound r&r with less then half a litre of petrol left... the shell and petronas are downed, but luckily esso was operational... pheeeww...... :cheers:

Yesterday, whilst after doing my site check, had some time to spare as dont want to head back office so early.

So, @ the MSCP, I:

1) Re-insulate taping a section of the coil of wires leading to the headlight & meters;

2) Adjust the fork brace to slightly higher position, so no more trapped mini debris;

3) Tidy up the rear box brake & signal indicators wires that are taping to the original wires.

Got a satisfaction out of it... heheh..

P.S. SNapEl, I realise the connectors can be dislodge, & managed to join the wires in. So now, a neater wiring @ the connectors there. :sweat:

dear fellow pkS

i was riding my ta200 with a pillion... 140kg in total... need some guidance on throttle management.

went up the rochor flyover(that steep slope from ophir rd to ECP towards changi)... and almost tio stuck.... (previously did fine w/o load.) lol... i just kept going slower n slower...

here's the details;

0/4 i hit the slope @ gear 6, 85km/h... throttle @ higher cos of slope

1/4 way... i drop to 75km/h le... this time i start to panic = throttle more

2/4 way... i change to gear 5 @ 65km/h, throttle = max. (REALLY MAX)

3/4 way.... @ 60km/h my engine like dying.. very weak beating..

3.5/4 way, i drop to gear 4.... engine rev so hard... like it was gonna explode....

i dunno how i made it up... but when i reached the top.. i was @ 50km/h gear 4.

anyone can teach me how to tackle this slope with pillion?

just dun tell me not to pillion someone so fat(can't help it)...

this is definately the last time i'll try that slope with such a weight...

here's what i think might have to do with the performance of the bike.

petrol was caltex 98ron,

eo. motul 5100

tyre pressure front: 220 rear: 230

it's normal, dun worry too much.

i will always cheong up at over hundred, else will end up like u, 50km or less, even on a car same. may end up in gear 2 or 3 if you kenna very slow car infront.

well... if the engine is on the verge of stalling... just drop the gear further... its ok to pillion someone heavy, although the speed would be slow, the bike can definitely clear most slopes

anyway your bike's fc is probably quite good since you ride with such a mild gearing... my fourth gear usually goes up to 70-80km/h before I change up...

My trick is to chiong up quick.. But however if got traffic jam, no choice but to drop gear and slowly trottle..

your bike no problem na.. so good EO and petrol le.. sure not the problem..

should be okay. dun think too much about it. weirdly, i always use gear 6 with about 130kg. At most drop to gear 5 =)
