The last time somebody told me 'riding is unsafe'...

She ended up going 120kph in trunk roads at 3am in the morning........... in heavy rain and visibility no more than 300 meters. Pillion on my 125Z of course :D

Unsafe my foot! Could go even faster due to cold air = higher thermal efficiency.

If shes being pillioned, u rode 200kph in trunk roads at 3am in the morning in thunderstorm and flood with 0 visibility on a vespa, she also cant do anything i guess.

cold air = higher thermal efficiency its true but cold waters makes brakes and types less efficient and once skidded, engine still get the higher efficiency but 2 souls is lost also

Part of riding involves having a feel for the road and the machine. You can express this in a percentage level where 0 = no risk, fall asleep, and 100 = testing the limits of adhesion while dragging your knee.

So yes, a stock 125Z can go 120 in the wet with pillion without exceeding 60% of my imaginary 'capability level'. Good 125Z *pat pat* :D

Yes yes, it's slippery and all. Just do everything very gently. Does not mean you can't do extreme maneuvers, you just have to start them gracefully :3

Oh and... new Honda Phantom 95kph on flooded ECP! Foggy conditions with water everywhere. I was actually quite dry when I reached bayshore (no rain gear at all, as usual)

start getting complacent and random things starts piling up making ppl very uncomfortable....anyway i'm also another one of those who like to ride in the rain...esp those u cant see sh1t at all...somehow are rather i have a very pervasive hobby of always hoping for R@in when im riding on NSHW.....and see my exhaust bellowing condense air outta the tailpipe...

ride safe!....in the wet and have fun!!!!

I dislike r*in! tall gearing and tyres meant for dry grip make my engine brake unusable on wet surfaces... :weep:

of course I half clutch for engine brake... full clutch would shift-lock...

I can only blip the throttle up to 7k rpm... any higher would blow the engine since its on extremely high compression for its size... and when I downshift the tacho would jump by 3-4k rpm... a.k.a. can't blip for my bike... :sian:

too bad... but I guess I would have to change my clutch plates more often...

Your engine's rev limit is 7k? Duh...how to go track like that?

my red line is now 11k... maintaining 5k rpm without load should be enough to blow the engine... blipping beyond 7k rpm without load would probably blow it too... :giddy:

track isn't a problem... I just have to put in more effort to control the clutch...

Last night tried my first and frightful experience any rider in sg can experienced.

pillioning a friend and go by 1st link and join the crowding frenzies at woodlands customs. the experience is out of the world. just when i thought i've seen it all thru tv's and heard from others, experiencing it is a whole new level of excitement and pressures and eye opener.

its amazing being in the crowd rather than seeing the crowds, people who travel thru customs by bikes daily in/out woodlands. i salute u all!!

if possible, i will never ever forever join in this crowding frenzies again.

going into jb or coming back ?

Going into Jb around 8pm. still jam when we thought should be cleared. not very serious but 1 car lane 4 rows of bikes, 2 lanes 8 rows of bikes moving bit by bit, revving here, honning there, shouting there, my this 1st trip, side mirror kanna bang few times, i ride hit others with my mirrors too, then braking, ppl whack my backside, licence plate abit warped also. got in jb 9.30 so its around 1 hour + abit jam.

the exciting part is when 8 bike lanes merged to 4, woohooo all like moto gp gran prix lidat, i kept kanna squuezed till leg wan stand on ground also can get ran over by wheels......

went in dinner at taman university then talk talk then cruise around jb then went station 1 cafe to sip drinks and listen to live stage then go back at near 12 midnite, come in custom is clear and speedy liao.

hmmmm, during the jams, every 30 bikes i saw got 1 phantom, although they are malaysian registered bikes, also saw a few big my registered bikes too.

but its malaysia and its still not very safe so do not let your guards down. unless ur bike has a my plate then it will be safer as people tends to target foreigners more than wad model of bikes u riding.

if going, juz park bike beside where u eat and always lock everything u can lock. dun hao lian, du nact gangster, dun roadhog and dun go ulu and dark places, theoretically u should be fine. but jam during peak hours is seriously a killer sia.

holding clutch from start jam till end, cause if u use pushing when front move, others cut ur queue liao and people behind u will kao peh haahaa.

@ahcai

left 1 month abit scary leh, but for malaysian passport, into sg is 6 months validity so im not sure of sg passport. sinceur last time , officer told u last time, should juz treat it as last time and wait for ur new passport bah, better safe than sorry.

luun today to be able to go out mysia tomorrow
