BluE_StreaK, wave has higher acceleration? then spark wins in acceleration?thanks for the info bout gear speeds..i know it can still go faster than 140kph..

 

i kinda expected that raider wins at top end, but maybe there are other spark owners who can squeeze some more from their spark..like going 130kph for stock cdi and 140kph and up for racing cdi but i don't know if it can..

 

for looks, i think their in diff categories..the raider looks like a naked bike while the spark looks like a sports bike..

I heard ppl saying sparks can hit 130 or 140 with no prob at all... wonder how true...

 

As for my raider the engine is still stock and nothing been mod to it. Raider 150R is nicer with its engine covered. Do not mistake it with Raider150. For the 150 u can see its engine, but the 150R have more complete "fairings".

 

Anyway, there is also racing CDIs for raider. But as i said... such speed on a small bike, some more in singapore is a bit off pt... But if u like top end and fast acceleration, well, raider is better than most bikes. (dunno about the 135, haven compare.) U an hit over 100 in ard 10 to 12 secs. Tried before. But the power only come in after 70km/h where the acceleration is damn fast. Usual riding, half trottle or slightly more will bring you over 100km/h too. No need change racing or fast trottle. The stock one is good enough. Responsive to suit me at least.

 

Lose to wave, cause i tried ramming by low gears, hit red line eazily cause small gear ratio, the engine really screams. haha... So i always beat them back in top end. Low end... unless u change pipe.

a very simple solution to make better acceleration.

change rear sprocket +2 teeth, improves acceleration.

top speed will reduce but u don't always travel 130kph.

raider is a all cub beater, many don't know tat.

Thanx for the reply, I've read thru the topics and most of the post just give the name of the shop but did not mention the location. The only ones I am familiar with are HKL and LAB.

 

But then thx for your replies, it cleared my doubts. Anyway, can the original stock rims of a Wave be fitted with a bigger tyre for eg, TT900?

She is interested to get a 2nd Cub..

Currently shortlisted 2, Wave S or R , X1

I dun really knoe much about cubs thus i tink it will be better for mi to ask Lao Jiao cub-bers about it

 

1) Her budget is ard 2k, thus how old (wat plate) should be the bike range that she would most likely be getin?

2) Maintenace no difference rite?

3) I knoe sports rims is a must change... Anythin else to make the bike more safe?

4) Is ther anyway to change the rear drum brake to disc?

5) Insurance wise is the same for Wave and X1 rite? Roughly how much for 23yrs old...

6) Any main difference between X1 and Wave?

7) Differences between Wave R and S?

park it at e carpark at all times wif canvas would make it more safe(jokin)... ride safely..

doubt it is easy to find 2nd hand t135 ard

the model is still new

 

125z (2stroke) and t135 (4stroke) have different engine designs and fuel consumption rates differ alot.

 

it would help if u can priortise yr requirements for a bike before u make yr choice

e.g. if u dont have a fat wallet and prefer fuel saving bike, this means bikes with 2 stroke engines are out of yr reach already

does 2 stroke FC different alot from 4 stroke? i have a car already, but dun see the point of driving to work which cost me 100buck of 95ron for 4 -5days. my house downstair got a really nice yamaha.....written X1....with the front faring change.....do they change themself or comes with it?? looks different from the x1 i saw in yamaha website?

maybe the bike u saw has got a paintjob done?

 

anyway...fuel consumption for a 2stroke class 2B bike at best is ard 30+km/litre of petrol

 

for 4 stroke class 2B...a bike w/ original setup can easily give 40+km/litre and above
