Loss of Cash Card

I just lost my cash card earlier this month and it's the first time I lost it.... Moreover the cash card bears my personal details, similar to the SAF 11B!

They should do it like the season parking system, the amount will not be stored in a cashcard but instead in an "account" which is tied to your IU unit/vehicle registration no., so theres nothing to steal. Payment by GIRO or whatever.

something like you have to pay for your ERP usage when you pay for your road tax.. or perhaps send u a monthly bill just like your HP usage...

cashcard is one of the dumbest invention i feel...

 

you have to top it up, can use it only on certain vending machines.. you cant buy food with it at foodcourts etc..

 

give it another 5-8 years.. and i am damm sure wit will be scrapped !

Everytime i always forgot to take out cashcard when i need it and just leave it at my iu unit when ppl see and steal. Place were at 219 shop and the other at kallang stadium watch sg soccer. This would be my last of the last i won't be forgotful anymore.

 

Juz wanna say pls don't be forgetful like me hehe.

Confirmed hotspot for cashcard thieves .. they strike again & again ! Inside MScarpark... at inner lot ! probably means they go around checking IU's one by one. Stolen between 4-8pm yesteday 6/5/08 . ALWAYS TAKE OUT YR CASHCARD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went for dinner cum breaking fast cum dating at holland v last week...didn't realise i didnt take out cash card. when i walk back to my bike i saw a guy reading papers at the kerb beside my bike...then saw my cashcard in my IU!! phew!!

 

I was away for 3 hours i think.....must be the fasting month...evil spirits are gone! heh...but i think i was extremely lucky...otherwise it would have been card number 5...

I sway... at this time, when cash cards are out of stock, someone stole my cashcard at my office building. I reach office at 8.20, realise my cashcard was left in my IU at 9plus.. go down, no longer there... so sad....

actually i think it all boil down to one.. if you do not want to lost your cashcard, then make it a habit to check b4 leaving yr bike.

 

my IU unit's cover have been pasted with sticker and this do lower the chance of getting your cashcard taken. Another way which is more troublesome will be to get a lock. Only if you need to remove the cashcard for topping up then you unlock and take the card out. Underneath the IU's cover is 2 hole.. you know what they are for.

 

and i even have ppl telling me that they remove their card when they parked their bike but forgot to insert during ERP operating hours and was penalised for it.. so you think about it

haha... speaking about ICA building.. there's a few riders "uncles" who ride and park their bike far far away and walk over to the carpark next to ICA and STEAL all cash cards... he look left look right forget to look front... whahaha.. i and my friend saw him checking for all IU.. EVEN THOSE WITH BIKE COVERS... when he realise we are looking at him, he ka siao walk further and further til i saw him riding off.. KNN... but seeing it's a uncle.. forget it lah... he did not make off with any cash card thru.. if he did.. that's it..

As for me,it's not the number of stolen cash card that i'm more concern but the amount I lost to the thieves is staggering....
