i have frens telling me that its no use getting a FZ6. the power is too smooth to feel it. they claimed that might as well get a 1000, where u can at least feel the power and feel more like riding a cl2 bike. they also say getting a fz6 might as well get super4 spec 3. at least u feels the power when the vtec kicks in.

initially i'ved decided to get fz6 too. but after what they say, i think they have a point too.

whats ur comments guys?

Fazer 1

$17,300

weigth - Heavy

insurance - not so cheap

rd tax - not so cheap 2

power - very good

tire - very no good

chain & gear - oso very no good

1 good 6 no good

Fazer 6

$13,700

weigth - not so heavy

insurance - cheaper

rd tax - oso cheaper

power - no so good

tire - cheaper

chain & gear - still cheaper

6 good 1 no good

but all say Fazer 1 better than Fazer 6

for my point of view is, unless u go malaysia offen, go for Fazer 1

use in singapore mostly Fazer 6 power is good enough, and lower cost over all

i think what i need to know is, which bike is more reliable

I do believe tat if u realli like the bike , who cares abt parts prices n costs ?

Anyway , i do feel tat maintenance for either bikes is not much of a difference . After calculations , i actually found out tat i paid more to upkeep my s4 as compared to fz1 , The chain on the s4 need changing after 1.5 yrs while fz1 almost 2yrs liao still dun even need tightening .

Engine Oil changes is not different too , even insurance wise , wasnt much of a diff as i grow older . 4yrs ago , my s4 insurance was $700+ , now my fz1 oso $700+ , onli need to pay more rd tax .

NTUC lo, but maybe i'm a litter bit older 10+10+10+........ yrs la,

as for FZ1 & FZ6

i check over the video, the 1 more like a racer, but the 6 is so easy to ride around, and actually the 1 & 6 insurance diff of abt 1-200 buck , tax 100, maintiance the same, so the main diff is the bike price, a bit worry abt the 1 la

if you like revvy motors, go for fz6. the power kicks in at 7000 rpm above. below that its like a super 4. acceleration from 120km/h onwards is very fast but manageable.

engines need to be worked hard, for cars as well as bikes, to keep it healthy and smooth running. (you go try NSH whack any bike hard for a long period of time, when you come back singapore roads you will feel the engine is very smooth, this was true for my x9, spec 2 and fz6) unless you travel at 180km/h upwards often, the fz1 engine will not be worked to anywhere to its full capacity.

i went for fz6 cos of the looks. beats the fz1 anytime.

i go malaysia maybe once a yr, mostly for sing use only, thats y i think 1000 is abit over power here and i don't ride at 180 in sing, fisrt ur lice gone, 2nd you go to court for that, and 3rd u stuck with a bike and have to sale it + u have to top up all the balance

not really the tire all depends what u use , and the chain if u maintain it , its gd , same for the gear , depends on the oil .
