Ok on serious note. I am worried if the brand HD being taken out of context as 'safe bike' When the term HD being used as nvr involve in accident at the subject.

1st, the thread starter subject was an understatement. The word never (he spelled as nvr) is not appropriate. 2nd, it is just his personal observation / personal opinion. 3rd his subsequent reply was contradicting with the subject he started with cos seldom i see cruiser type of bike getting into accidents...not oni HD 4th his supporting views were taken from 3rd party opinion (his dad).

Digesting it further, I feel the subject term he uses HD is just at spur of the moment. If I can try to conclude what he is trying to say based on his and his dad's observation (only) is, most accident involves sport bikes & small bikesmost of the time accident i always see racers and occasionally phantom rider.

As Kmax has already mentioned, how often do we see GW, STX, GS etc involves in accident? Because not only they are experience riders but also (heavyweight cruiser bikers included) it is the lifestyle they have chosen, to be safe, cool (subjective), ezy rider image who avoid all the rush, because they can!!! Because most of them are bikers by choice, unlike most SGP riders who are biker by NO-choice (bo-pien bikers).

Conclusion : In this www era, pls be more sensitive in choosing appropiate words when creating the subject thread, otherwise others might get carried away (myself included)

We take these risks is not to escape from life;

but to prevent life from escaping us

Thanks for being diplomatic ..... as much as we get a bit agitated with some topics, sometimes the directed message may be misconstrued by others. So many a time, I decide to just ignore.

have bike will travel . . . . .

erm...its jux my own point of view...most of the time accident i always see racers and occasionally phantom rider involving in accidents..maybe guys here can share their points if i m wrong..

Simple....

There aren't too much HD rider out there as compared to plantom,

& for some HD rider, they ride for leisure on wkend as compared many plantom r used as a daily transport.

But wat ever ride u r in, jz ride safe.

Technically so to say, you don't see a Vulcan 2000 involve in an accident too because there is only one piece running on Singapore road :D *touch wood that is!

I assume bluesurfer should know the kind of replies he would receive by posting this thread but waiting to hear different course of replies perhaps?

Lets just chill out and give the guy a break shall we?

Peace!

naive question. i think he posted without asking himself for a possible question.

no bike = no accident

few bike = few accident

alot of bike = alot of accident.

What doesn't kills me can only makes me stronger.

hmm, interesting topic here..

i doubt accidents have anything to do w type of bikes..

accidents can happen to anyone at anytime at anywhere, regardless of the situation (bikes cars buses pedestrians & what nots)..

its just that perhaps the attitude of the (in this case) riders which increases the possibility of the occurance of the accidents..and, in this case as well, racers (as put by the thread starter) have more of that racer mindset (i think most people have a good idea of a racer mindset so i dont think explanation is neccessary) which is dubbed as risky, and that increases the chances of accidents of happening cuz as well as that racer mindset, he/she might not probably be as aware of their surroundings as they should when they ride..

mind you, i'm not saying that all racers have that racer mindset (hmm..might not make sense but it have some logic actually..) nor am i saying anything that is biased against anyone..just my 2 cents of my perception of non-prejudice thoughts..
