Guys, what level or range of viscosity do you use for your engine oil? Any recommendation/s or comments on the oil you are using?

Bro, I just changed mine few days back.. Just sharing what I know guys..

1. Switch off your motorbike

2. Press and hold SELECT button while switching on your bike. Continue holding the SELECT button for about 5secs while the bike is on until you see some square box on the display screen.

3. This is to change your display light brightness level settings. Press RESET button to toggle through the brightness level.

4. Once you are done, say you wanted it to be 4 boxes, press the SELECT button to save it.

5. Next is selecting your shift light mode - Setting(1). Constant on white light | Setting(2). Flashing white light | Setting(3). Completely turn off.

6. Same thing press the RESET button to toggle through your shift light mode.

7. Also same thing, once done, say you wanted it to be flashing white light setting, press the SELECT button to save it.

8. By now, your RPM suddenly needle up. That's the current setting that your motorbike is set for your shift light. By default its 14k RPM using flashing shift light mode.

9. Again same thing, press the RESET button to toggle up your RPM.

10. Also again, same thing, once done, say you wanted it to be at 15k RPM, press the SELECT button to save it.

11. Now you will see your shift light will blink slowly and your RPM needling up to 10k i guess.

12. This is to TURN OFF or DEACTIVATE your shift light. Just now you have set it to 15k to start blinking right? So now you have to set a higher RPM.

13. Same thing, press RESET button to toggle up your RPM.

14. Also again, same thing, once done, say you wanted it to be at 16k RPM, press the SELECT button to save it.

15. If you deactivate lower than what you set to 15k earlier, the light will never come out. (Common sense. Before it could start, you already stop it.)

16. Last but not least, your shift light brightness.

17. Press RESET button to toggle through the brightness of your shift light. Same also, that square boxes thingy.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for ur information! I will try tonight!

Im using 10w40.

Like what Roy said its how often you change too. I don't like to keep my oil long as it leads to lots of problems. I usually run 4000km to 5000km. Usually amsoil or 300v. Sg heat is our enemy! Hahahha

Hehe...yup i like it tat way, didnt noe y bt it started since 2B. Mostly i did it myself unless really major repair den go shop. Frm there i try to learn or catch some skills frm mechs.

For me personally, its best to noe ur bike well so u noe wat causes the problm rather den go shop. The moment they see u like 'gong2' wah....they really dig ur pockets out de.

Me staying west side area. $25-$30 uh, hmm...quite reasonable. I gt 1 selling $23/btl, 300v 10/40w, which is the most suitable for our bikes.

The reason y i started DIY is, gt alot of time kena cheated tats y 'tulan' already. Once i did a full service package, the actual amt of EO w/filter change is 2.6 ltrs. The mech put only ard 2-2.2 ltrs, the rest they mkn for thier own bike mah (shld b la, rather den they throw away or sell it thru quantity). Nt even 2mths EO light popped up.

If u DIY...say average

$28/btl x 3 = $84

K&N oil filter $20

total will b $104. The gd news is, after a long run sure EO light popped up due to heat n humidity. Atleast u gt ur balance EO for topup rather den u go bikeshop.

Bt tis is up to personally prefrence la hor3.... Bt of course i'll compare prices ard. If package cheap2, i buy bt DIY den ask for discount. Sure get one, haha....cited tat no labour cost involved la
