Hi guys, would like to check a few things. Is it normal if the biting point of the R6 is far? (Almost 70pct release of the lever then the clutch starts to grab)

I also been hearing this metallic ringing under hard acceleration, especially accelerating from very low rpms. Is this normal?

Thanks! :)

Bro. You sound like you never maintain your bike yourself. haha. To adjust the biting point is the same for almost every bike as what BlueBlood mentioned. and the metallic sound is common. But can try to do the valve clearance to reduce it. =)

Any outing for R6 riders?

Contact danielsin. hehe.

I do basic maintanence on my previous bikes. Just got my R6 a month back :D The silver knob adjusts the clutch lever freeplay, I'm not sure if it adjusts the biting point.

It's not the infamous "Yamatick" valve sound. After monitoring I think it's just me not used to the bike. I change gear at too low rpms. Slowly getting used to feel. The sound has dissappeared after I start changing gears at higher rpms :)

Thanks for the reply man.

could be lots of factors, engine oil type, valve knocking. How does the bike feel? Sometimes it might just be your paranoia. The R6 is not the most refined bike and has lots of small sounds and niggles. So can't expect to to be as refined as a Honda. But its one hell of a machine. Don't ride it slow (i learned it the hard way), the beast needs to be whacked sometimes.

But if you hear the sound like a small bag of screws loose it might be your con rod. Expensive fix.

The bike feels great, runs great. I think you might be right, it's just my paranoia. I think mine is more of a clutch stutter caused by lugging the engine at very low rpms :D I agree it's one hell of a machine especially above 10k rpm :D

Thanks man!

What do you mean by an unrestricted r6? I only know to fully unrestricted for race purposes need to flash ecu.

In order to unrestricted it, it's either YEC kit or flash ur ECU. If u knw hw e ycct works then u will

Knw hw retard e bike is. E ycct alone is holdin off e bike so much

YCCT was developed to incorporate also as a safety mechanism in case you suddenly tiwst the throttle unknowingly.

Good technology for street riding, but sadly an obstacle on the track.
