hey guys juz wanna know like wat u all said it's ok 2 do a hard run in? cos i'm been told by the shop to keep the revs under 5 till 1000km den can slowly increase the speed till 1600km den can alr?? juz wanna know.. thanks..

 

Go read your owner's manual. If I am not wrong, it says first 1000km no prolonged operation above 8000rpm. I ride mine and change gear at every 8k rpm when I ran in SG and in Pasir Gudang. Heck, I even ride up to 10k rpm but just brief surges and not prolonged riding. I'll avoid the highways since you have to ride in constant speed and in the highest gear.

Yamaha R6 2008 For Sale

 

- Stock condition with Spiegler steel brake lines

 

- Registered 26th Jan 2008, so this is a less than 8 months old bike

 

- Done 4000+km

 

- Black/Gunmetal

 

- Accident free, minor stationary fall resulting in a few scratches on the left engine cover.

 

- Used mainly for track riding, not much SG riding.

 

- Ran in according to owner's manual, mineral oil changed upon receiving, and every 300km til 1500km.

 

- Looking at SGD $17500. Full cash if possible to avoid compounding interest. If not, source for own finance, like Hitachi Credit. Worse case scenario will be paying me cash and COI which YOU the new owner will be subjected to the terms and condition of Bike Production. Current installment balance is SGD$11000

 

- Number plate FK76C should the new owner choose to purchase will be an additional $1000 upon the asking price, if not it will be RETAINED by me. Reason for selling is downgrading to motard.

For your information, the R6 2009 is a revised version of their color scheme and not a totally new bike/specs. Viewing will be arranged at a later date since my bike is now kept and maintained for a bike exhibition event sometime this month.

Yup bro lion is correct when i got my bike out, i just ride normally changin gear at 7k rpm most of the time and at times above 8 but below 10 and not even reaching the 1.5km run in mileage, i went track and drag not above 11k rpm. Till now my bike is ok and running healthy =)

hi R6 bro,juz wen i was riding n come to a stop to ans a phone suddenly there's a sound like sumtin break n there's a little smoke come out then my bike became like veri noisy n exhuast flow like veri fast n clutuh in wanna stall engine like tat went to bike shop they say mayb plug as they spray water on my header n found out tat 1&2 or 1&4 is not hot n told me tat mayb plug use finish alreli or mayb fuel injector have problem or mayb body throttle.......anyone got it b4???

Could be the cone-bearing worn out...

or he tires have tiny lumps due to defects wear..
