need urgent help.

 

1)anyone experience magnetic/stator coil burnt? (attach picture is about it)

 

bike is only 1.5yrs old with 24k mileage. sigh.

 

2)spark plug holder (not too sure correct term or not), sparks was seen when a screwdriver was placed near it. was told by mech due to the holder wearing out? mileage n age of bike is above. anyone had changed this too could help?

 

3)currently suddenly when moving off will sort of like bike abit jumpy, as in power come n power goes symptoms. was told to be the coil/plug holder. but problem will be resolved when speed get higher than 50 due to bike power i suppose. but under that speed sometime bike might feel its going to stall etc.

 

 

i experienced this on the first day i bought my bike. mine's a 2nd hand. so i wasn't suprised. andyway , mech also put the screw driver and showed me the sparks. and told me that alot of yamaha bikes like this and the solutionw as to change the spark plug heads.(whichever that were spoilt that is). for mine 3 out of 4 was gone so i just changed all for, 1 head costing $95. so it was pretty expensive. but at the moment i only face one problem. the engine sound is jumpy and i wanna go figure out whats wrong. maybe like what Slize said it might be my tuning!

1)anyone experience magnetic/stator coil burnt? Didnt experience that, but i change my magnetic coil recently alone need 500+ 600 for my R104. For magnetic coil will wear&tear hard to determine. If u r changing it, my advise is battery,wiring,altnerator & bearing do change if necessary.

2) spark plug or spark plug holder? For this ans definely have to change.

 

3) if fuel tank going to empty,, it will happen that. IF NOT it's time to overhaul your bike (NO JOKE)

 

secondly its not about the year & milleage ..if u too hardcore with the bike 299km/h everyday.... within 3mth your bike engine burst ah..

which shop u changed ur head?

details about your bike if possible? age/mileage etc.

 

the last one is still working at full capacity? how u test this, hope u coud share thanks.

 

was quoted @ $98 from my bikeshop, elsewhere all more exp so dont need mention. but sadly my bike is still consider new n low mileage. but still happen. so no choice.

 

I did at bikeworkz.. mileage 50k, R606. the last ones were not working to full cap and i could feel the lack of power.it was very significant. so i knew something was wrong. then the mech checked and showed me. so i decided to change all.

One day trip to melecca for the fun of riding there with the company. Go there eat, chill relax,maybe shop abit den have a nice seafood dinner and come back sg. Time we will reach back i think la, abt 8-9pm.

Time to reach there : fast fast 1 la... close eyes reach alr.

travelling speed abt 150km/h crusing or OTOT if u know the way.

 

We will pump once at GP esso before we go and pit stop AT pagoh R&R to pump and relac first before we head to melecca.

things to bring: Jacket (optional)

full face (Optional) but better to have these 2 la.

GF/PArtner (optional if u wan to la) nelson i think too many cai for u to choose rite.

Passport,

Change RM. think abt 150-180 rm should be more den enough but always good to have some spare.

Touch And Go card to pay the toll.

cash card of $1.40.

think should be all ba. Pls include ur name below. Looking at a Min. of 5 bikes to go on the trip. Of cos the more the merrier. All are welcome.

And those that are going maybe we share the money den go mustafa buy the chain and lock??

hi guys, juz sumthing i wish to share with you all.. previous day i say bout replacing the termoset. ok. i can tell u that is really good to change if spoil... as i encouter my R6 losing power slightly abit from wat i hav when i 1st purchase it... the water temp really got sumthing to do with the power on R6... believe it or not. but now i can feel the same power when i was 1st riding the bike. please check the coolant and of course check the water before go for the melaka trip k guys! hehe. please do final checking and prepare tools for flat tyre... thanks!

ANW, the chinese says when u see the stars align in 1 straight line, something good will happen!! last nite i saw 1000 stars aligned, and i think i might be able to go for the melaka trip!!!

ur last paragraph do not apply to me as my bike is more like just a transport bike in sg. avg is just ard 110, dun travel to MY either. sadly still such stuff happen.

 

already changed coil, but how come urs so ex though its r1. changed @ 320 including labour, hl already quoting 300 excluding labour.

 

its spark plug holder, cos spark plug juz change brand new.

 

fuel tank going empty? sorry dont understand this point.

 

R1 definely more expensive.

 

IF fuel tank empty. u will feel the bike lost of power bcoz no fuel to generate power. But if fuel tank full & you feel your bike no power.

1:tuning may have problem

2:carborator/fuel injection may have problem

3: some other unforseen problem

 

In this world there is no defectless bike. So such problem encounter cant be blame. (BUT we will blame mechanic for all the problem) typical sgpn

the bike shop i go i feel its good enough though. price and work done compartively to other shop in the market or even advertiser board.

if u talk about defect then maybe i can only take that i am suay lor.

 

ya...in another word suay.

Becoz i say blame mechanic is llike we r not professional ma all depends on mech how to do yr bike. if lucky than defects remedy. if suay u will kanna series of defect which u wont know.
