Hey guys i just got stopped by lta for my exhaust, im riding a 06 r6 with full arrorw ti system(got cert), he said the catbox from the full system is missing so the pipe is considered illegal and i have to change back stock to ride??..full sys got cat box meh and he said lta never approved full sys for r6 before??..Any brothers riding r6 06? need help leii!

That officer knows what he is talking about or not?! Arrow full system for R6 is street legal as long as you have cert and send for inspection. Anyway last year I went Sinming STA for exhaust inspection, my R6 had full system, race fairing, no mud guard, integrated signal lights and single line license plate, in full view of 2 lao jiao LTA officers. They also bo chap.

 

Most probably the officer who caught you is still new and unsure of what constitutes a legal full system.

 

P.S. They are watching this thread, so I suggest any discussion regarding mods be taken offline.......

Did you send your bike for exhaust inspection? If you did, you could have shown him the Vicom/STA approved cert. Sometimes they can be unreasonable. A friend of mine was stopped by TP for speeding. Usually they will show you the speed they clocked u on the radar gun. The TP that caught my friend didnt show him the speed, but immediately ask him to sign confession form. If you have proper certification, theres nothing to be afraid of.

1) theres NO APPROVED full systm frm any brands xcept 'Leo Vince' to date.

2) for our models (06-10 ver), only got APPROVED endcans.

3) for those who mati2 want to get fullsystm, i suggest get Leo Vince header seperately den get ur fav endcans.

 

p/s: for those who didnt agree to my statemnt, i nt tat worried cos im nt the one who will get summons for ur own negligence. Peace

It seems they said tt my arrow Full system is nt approved as there is no Cat box. i thought full system got no Cat box!? i got my cert for my exhaust too and i juz passed my inspection. now need to send inspection again, but prob is i cant remem wher placed my silencer. any bros out there using Arrow the cone type can lend me ur Silencer juz fer my inspection? thankx alot bros. i only got another 4 days left. do contact me at 97909567

Ok assuming the "inside" info (aka the LTA outriders) is right, that means:

 

1) its the fault of the Exhaust distributors for labeling their fullsystem as legal.

 

2) Its the fault of inspection centres for passing us, causing us to believe the full system is legal.

 

Why should we be penalized for someone's fault?
