This topic has been brought up quite afew times and nobody got an answer yet. Go to Yamaha webby in europe or USA cos the USA site has some 2005 models liao but not for the Frazer 600. FJR1300 2005 model is out though.

Hi..I just bought FZ600..Can i know what is the proper way for running in??(E.g must at least run in to wat mileage and RPM until how much then change gear and wat is the max speed that can go when running in??)

 

During run in,which engine oil to change is better??(Fully , semi or mineral oil)

mineral oil during running in, but then if riding in local context, dun think too much... just ride normally cos no way you can hit the limit of the "run-in" RPM unless you waiting to return your licence...

as i know, there r 3 diff way to run-in.

 

1. follow ur Servive Manual. I thk is around 1600-2000 km...pls reference to ur SM.

 

 

2. Hard way to run-in. this way no really suitable SG road...because u will need to push the rpm to max, but this run-in give ur engine the best treatment (some people said), whole run-in process can be finish around 45km... If u can understand chinese, this is a good for read--

3. most popular way...5000km, dun over 3000rpm...bike shop normally will recommend this way.

 

Actually alot of mag recommend just ride normally, like wht moka said. Give ur engine rpm up and down , BUT dun over the redline. Gear up and down frequently... They didnt say how many mileage need for run-in...so i thk aleast 3000km is reasonable...BUT the lastest ride mag interview with Castrol Lub tech..they said need to run-in for 10000km ..so decide by ur self loh~~

So much anticipation of the 2005 model but nobody has any picture all here say only.

I hope there will be some picture or some mags will do a preview. Anyway when it hits Sillypore....maybe about 16k machine price pah. Dealers will mark up due to initial chiong.

For the current 04 model u can get from Universal at 14.5k +/-.

 

Where ur helmet got stolen?

In what box? Did the thieve spoilt ur box in the stealing process?

I reckon he has been eyeing you otherwise why of all bikes stunt urs?

 

Pls inform us where and what helmet we will try to nab that ass for u.
