Ya lor....2 stroke takes 2 cycle to burn fuel...while 4 strokes takes 4 cycle. Got many many difference. If you really wanna mod this GSR to super pickup, be prepare to spend a lot. Everything is possible.

Are you prepared to control a beast that is 180+kg who will wheelie at will? hahahha

hey guys,

i got back from my KL trip last week and it was great but just didn't have time to post about it. Anyway, the trip to KL if you're travelling at avg of 150km/h should take u less than 3.5hours starting after you fill up outside the woodlands checkpoint.

The 3.5hrs taken for the trip includes 2 rest stops. Both taken on R&Rs after after hitting the NSH. We breaks after every 100km of travelling (meaning first R&R after every 100km we will stop). Total we only had 2 stops before hitting KL.

On the way back, we stopped at Melaka for a night cos WAGs were complaining that they were tired from shopping in KL. I'm hoping to do a Melaka trip soon. Their bike shop seem very big but didn't stop by as it was quite late when we arrived. Anyone knows what they carry and price comparision(from SG to RM) whether it is more worth it to buy there?

Another point i would like to add along with the advice EJ has left is that inexperienced riders should be on a look out for windsock areas along the NSH. These are areas with strong winds and can blow you off course. Along the trip, we had a first time NSH rider and was whacking all the way. He did not notice the windsock area (and might not have understood it anyway) and was opening up the throttle when going into one of the bends. Luckily nothing happened but it still was a very dangerous move.

Anyway, ride safe and have fun on the Mersing trip guys.

Cheers!

Friends,

I went to Unique today for an oil / spark plug / K&N filter change.. After the service, I am noticing a change in the engine sound.. Would it be due to the free flowing air through the K&N filter? Any body else have similar experience.

Thanks

LED's in the front indicator console.

I recently noticed that there are 3 LED (dummy??) in the front indicator housing. Apparently I was not able to light it up... Are they dummies or do they have any use for these..

Without proper illustrations, no one here can help you.

Nope, if going to KL.. the trip will start ard 4am ... est to reach KL before noon, so we have ample time to stop and rest and refill... wun be too taxing to your bike and our bikes. I dun like to rush ... rush to reach destination.... just enjoy the ride and morning scenery. :) Will rest and relax at KL till night market opens ... then will take our own sweet time to head back to Singapore... reach Gp past midnight, have supper before heading home to sleep. All these = 24hrs = 1 day :D

As for iron butt ...haha ... I have been to Cameron highland with my top speed 120km/h Honda Phantom before, I know how painful it is for our butt. It's like endurance run man...

Anyway, let's focus on Melaka trip first ... I will come up with the plan next week and post it up for those who are interested to join.

My friend ... you have a good wife. It's daunting to see tragic things happen around us... she is worried for you ... let ur mind rest for awhile... ultimately, the decision to go on touring or not, it rest in you and your wife decision. Maybe someday, you will join us with a car instead of bike, acting as our safety vehicle. :)

BRO,when u goin to organise trip to cameron?? Would definitely join u ......love that place

Up to cameron with Honda Phantom??? Man! How long it takes to reach there? Ur engine must be screaming for help!

Yea, you're right that the engine is screaming for help. But if you have riden a Phantom, you will know that it is a trustworthy bike(if you maintain it well) ... overall, upslope along NSH max speed is 120km/h ... downslope is ard 130km/h-140km/h. Me and my friend started off the journey ard 2am...

reached KL 7-8am(had a few stops along NSH) ... had breakfast before heading to cameron highland ... reaching ard 12pm. The journey from KL to cameron is the most taxing becos of fewer R&R stops, but it has the most beautiful sights becos of the Ipoh mountainous sceneries. Overall, we took two days and one night to conquer Cameron + Bukit Tinggi(on the way back).

Some photos to satisfy those hungry for Cameron trip ;)

Gunung Bringchang, highest point in Cameron... to reach the actual summit we need to take a 4 hours hike up... so this is consider the starting point of the hike. Road to this place is damn hazardous, but adventurous... many blind turns and road is damn narrow.

Behind me is the staircase up to the hiking trail to the summit of Bringchang.

This is how the road looks like on the way up to Bringchang. Not narrow for bikes, but sometimes along the way... we will bump into cars ... so we have to "siam" to the side.

Taken at Bukit Tinggi castle(forgot or dunno the name liao).

Cameron trip or KL will not be so soon... maybe around March 13th(1 week school holiday) or May holidays... best period to go to Cameron becos it is not raining season. Never ever go Cameron during raining seasons! Anyway, if you are interested, maybe you can join in the trip to Melaka. I am planning to have shorter trip to season ourselves as a group before going for a longer trip. Pls check back this week for details on trip to Melaka.
