Nope, for Nuvi 500 there's no bluetooth. The interface is pretty easy to look at and it has a "Next Turn Indicator" which is a little arrow which indicate next turning and the distance in meter... Although it has a speaker at the back, but when travelling and listening to mp3, can hardly hear it. For bluetooth version, can get the Zumo 660. Nuvi 500 is cost at $599SGD, plus Ram mount and charging wires to connect direct to your bike battery. More info: http://gpsmagazine.com/2008/07/garmin_nuvi_500_review.php

Previously when I am using HP GPS, I connect via it bluetooth. 1. Simply acquire the statelite signal, 2. set and mark the route, 3. put in pocket and ride according to voice guided navigation. "In 100m keep left... turn right and keep left...etc." Sometimes if hear "Recalculating route..." then *alamak* got to slap my head because it indicate you have make the wrong turn.

Look nice but the screen is a bit small. I think it is more suitable for trekking, but I have seen some bike tourers using it. I think our fellow ex-GSRean Flareon is previously something similar to this.

I think what he means is the new GSR400 with the added horse power which was launched since the 2009 production.

Haha, just posting in case anybody would want to get a phone mount. Not planning to get a client database.

With regards to GPS, I would rather stick to waterproof options in the event when there is a sudden downpour that might cause the Garmins/TIBO/Morbella car based GPS to spoil. That really boils down only to few options which includes the Garmin ZUMO series (I think?) and TIBO's bike GPS which I chose the latter, simply because it is priced quite reasonably, $199 and $250 with mount and charging option.

Ugh, gotta wait out for a 2nd hand option for the Titanium blue. Will not have enough money to get a set this year.

Yup, so see you guys there tomorrow!

Cannot find leh...The only latest is 2009 model with 61 PS (2006-2008 is 58 PS) with a 16k RPM. Mind giving the link?

To clarify the misinfor... I went to check on the Japan Suzuki website to check if any new changes, but it is still the same spec as 2009 model. For benefits of doubts, I did multiple searches for GSR400 2010 model, but found none. It would be better if you can provide the link, instead of asking us to randomly search for the answer.

So, it seems there is no new 2010 model. The new models are based on the 2009 production which sees an increase in some spec.

For newer GSR400 2009-2010, the spec is:

http://www1.suzuki.co.jp/motor/gsr400/spec.html

For GSR400 2008 and below, the spec is:

http://www.bikez.com/motorcycles/suzuki_gsr_400_2008.

(Direct copied from the above links) among some new changes from the looks and color scheme,

GSR400 2009 new spec:

power: 45kW〔61PS〕/ 12,000rpm

Torque: 39N・m〔4.0kg・m〕/ 10,000rpm

GSR400 2008 and below spec:

power: 52.29 HP (38.2 kW)) @ 11000 RPM

Torque: 37.00 Nm (3.8 kgf-m or 27.3 ft.lbs) @ 9000 RPM

So here you have it. If I say anything wrong... pls correct me.

ps: I remember we used to discuss about the new GSR400 2009 ... I tried to dig out the thread, but I cannot find them... too many threads to search liao. I believe it was Razi who first inform us about the new 2009 model changes.

Great! Nice to know that someone else is using same model as I am. If you have any interest POI can transfer to me. :) Too bad cannot transfer POI from device to device.

From your Siggy picture, I see you place the gps flat facing upward and directly center. Wouldn't that block the speedo view? Or maybe you put it low enough to unblock the view? Anyway, I placed my on the right side and extend the height almost to the same height as the side mirror so that I do not have to tilt my head down each time I want to check my location/direction.

Cheers.
