Happy Chinese New Year Guys.

I am just back from Batam, had a wonderful trip there...

But i got a big F***ing shock when i go to the carpark yesterday. my rear left signal light clear cover was ripped off. either accidentally broke off by someone or someone try to steal it...

left with the screw at the tip of the signal light with the left over of the clear cover on the threading of the screw.

if someone did steal it.. i hope that person will have a rotten As sh 0le...

anyway, how was the wedding convoy event? was it successful?

Well, this is what i got, both petrol and bar blink @ 257.7 km. 257/14.5 = 17km/l

That is with only 60km solo ride, the rest of the km is with 55+- pillion.

Jus came back from workshop 50bucks poorer, changed to a aftermarket signal light.

according to workshop boss, most likely it was a appemt to steal the light cover. but that guys dunno how to steal, didn't unscrew the nuts before taking off the cover.

As for the exhaust., u cud change the sleeve...but most ppl i see wud leave it at that...as for the paint, i wudnt worry coz tat part is plastic, wudn't rust...another cheap option is to cover up with stickers...another option wud be to touch-up the paint, but muz get the exact same colour to look good(tats the difficult part)..for me, id paste a sticker over it..

Thanks BioMoDiFIed. Any idea how much the sleeve would cost. And also which is the best place to get good stickers. I was thinking of decaling my bike so as it dont look so plain.

Went to Aunty's shop at Jalan besar and lavender st intersection .. but they dont seem to have good options.

Guys, I thoroughly enjoy reading on this forum. You guys are very informative. It has motivated me to choose my next bike to be a GSR 400. The only problem I have is finding a decent preferably stock condition bike. Any advice or tips are appreciated. BTW if the headlight is changed to LED do you think it will pass Vicom testing.

TY TY. Smintboy, I too help you curse those thief.

Yes its OK. There are some things connected to the battery that drains it...Like for example your immobilizer SAIS that is turned ON. Not to mention the clock on the bike, it has to run on something to keep time. Even little, it will slowly drain the battery. Alarm also drains battery (if you have one), worst if people keep disturbing the alarm again and again. Sound from the alarm needs power too.

So my advice is lock up the bike with disc locks and disconnect the battery leads. That is a confirm way of not draining the battery. Do note, the battery will still discharge itself over time.
