a question here.

 

at high spd, does ur speedometer kinda haf the 'shaky' feel? I can hear shaky sounds from my meter while on highways.

 

May be something loose.

a question here.

Just to add on, does you guy's left side locking compartment's lock mechanism vibrates & gives off an rattling sound when on the move?

 

Cos after I just got my bike last yr June, got this sound whenever on the move, at 1st thought it was the suspension protector was loose, but went to BS, their head mech says no prob at all.

 

Finally after sometime, found the sound coming from that lock mechanism there...

Is it a norm?

wa. the bolder thread abit long.. hopefully someone can help me with answers here.. im currently riding a spec1, but considering getting a new super4. thinking of one with EFI. those the new bolder in market now come with EFI?

also, any shops having them now? im considering trading in my spec1 for the new s4. any recommended shops to go to?

I got no problem with the lock.

 

Locking mechanism or the cover loose? I dun think the lock mechanism can cause any sound if locked properly.

Rattling sound may not be from your rear. It could be from your windscreen area. Just double check the screws are tighten. If you are riding the Bol'dor it's pretty common. Mine had rattling too at the left windscreen area. Found out that the rubber damping at the end of the windscreen worn out. I just put another rubber over it and solves the rattling sound.

Trading in your spec 1 may have a little problem cos most bike shop will try to lower your bike value. Best if you can sell it to another private buyer.

 

Most bike shop would allow trade in if you don't mind your bike to be below value.

Confirm its the lock, cos when i travel on the road, i purposely use my left index finger & press over the lock, it went silent for awhile!

But then the rattle came back again.

After stopping, i open the cover, & found the lock mechanism loose, am thinking of getting some rubber to cut to size & reduce the gap... hmmm...

Honda had stopped producing the Spec III. It's possible to get brand new ones in the shops but it's a left over from whatever stock. You need to hunt really hard.

 

Why not just go for the Revo Bol'dor? Looks wise is the same difference is Revo is Fi model while the Spec III Bol'dor is carburated.

Original fairing you can try the usual parts like FJT/ Chong Aik/ Boon Siew.

 

Try looking at the Japanese websites.
