oic, so the 1st problem is a minor one. The 2nd problem, like I said, is very common for VFR800. Actually did the shop change a new battery or an old one for the 1st problem? If they had changed an old one which cannot hold its charge, it may have caused the magneto to burn itself cos the current cannot go into the battery and so 'bounced' back to the magneto. Or perhaps the 1st battery may have already 'injured' the magneto. I'm just speculating la. I may be wrong. What I'm trying to say is, your bike may not have other problems other than the above. I'm also suggesting that if you want to repair and keep it, ask the shop to check the rectifier also. It may be 'injured' also and give you a third problem.

So either keep your bike after repair or get another one.....for us to tell you which one to get is very difficult la. No one here knows the condition of the bikes you mentioned.....you got to decide for yourself :)

woow .... u sure are inpressive upz for u

i sure call u if my bike got any problem.....

No la, I can only do simple diy. Anyway your/our bikes hor are simply too complicated. Got so many sensor thingy.....come to think of it, should have got a well proven big S4.....hornet 900? Sometimes the simpler the engine, the easier it is to pin point problems.

ZX636, Gixxer 750, R6 or CB1300.

ZX636 does not have much prob Beside having a Rough & aggresive EnGINe(Spareparts expensive)

Gixxer750 has a problem with the inhection pump (you won't notice it at low speed, But if it starts choking at high speed) better have checked out.

R6 I don't know nuts about the ride

hahahx ... Sports on not ... i will still lie down on the tank when riding, it's my favourite posture man ... hahahx:cheeky: :cheeky: :cheeky: :cheeky:

I would choose one with the lowest mileage for its age and the least no of owners. The CB1300 with a normal mileage would be a very tough bike. Big cc, less stress. It is also not a racing bike. Only disadvantage is the road tax and maybe fc.

Guys what do You Think .... ZX636, K4750, R6 or stick with my current bike???

arif, i will say stick with it. ur VFR solve 2 problem liao this time round. if u do a 1 to 1 exchange with them, it's another gamble altogether, u won't know the condition of those bikes they offered unless u start riding it mah.

can tell u sure are piss off with this bike...

as for which bike.. i think R6

can ask ozzar for more info cos he ridding one

given the value of his VFR, the shop probably offering him the 03-05 model ba. the engine very different from mine.

my 02 version is carb model. much simpler engine. how reliable are the fuel injected ones i really won't know.

my mechanic told me that keep things simple and problems can be solved easier. electronic stuff harder to troubleshoot.

Listen up to the whole story:

Bike shop will Tow my bike for Free from Woodlands and do the NECESSARY repairs at half price or FREE (Depending on parts i have to change) Altgough my bike is no more under Warranty ... They Say if i'm still pissed off and still wanna change my bike, I can take any Bike i want (within the same price Range) even if A bit more or less They can give and take ... So i'm asking from u guys opinion on the following BIKES ... ZX636, Gixxer 750, R6 or CB1300.

my two-cent thot:

1. r6

1.1 proven

1.2 economical

1.3 suitable for touring

1.4 got power

1.5 easy to maintain

1.6 easy for your pocket

2. cb1300

1.1 power too much

1.2 fuel a lot

1.3 great for touring

1.4 proven

1.5 tough on your pocket

but given your current situation, if can 1-2-1 exchange for a bike, with same age, cb1300 is a good swop. but do consider the fuel cost in long term.

with your posture, cb1300 will look great on you.

with your age, r6 is more relevant.

in view of the touring zeal in you right now, r6 will meet your touring profile best. but if you are loaded (or if your dad is loaded), cb1300 might be the real best for you.

forget the vfr.
