drop one gear, den rev den shift up one gear? tink ur pocket will hurt instead.

from my point of view, i only do that "dropping gear action" when approaching a bend to have more power to lean in-wards. but for straight roads, better to try off the "half clutch" technique. at least its "safer" for the engiene.

just my 2cents. correct me if i'm wrong. =)

Faster than fast,

Quicker than quick.

wait I thought dropping to lower gears at a HIGH RPM will cause ur RPM to zoom past the red zone and cause ur rear wheel to locked?

That's what i learn from some youtube videos lol

That's why I always believe in LUCK! :cheeky:

Stress out the engine parts like piston/rings...

Wastage of fuel like petrol (2t if any)...

Stress out the driving mechanism like sprockets & chain...

Any many many more I think...

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB

i'm not too sure how a manual gear shift work (as i ride an auto shift bike)... but by dropping gear at high speed just to increase revs, i bet the engine sure stress one.

after a while, the wear-and-tear effect will come to you sooner than expected.

spoil parts can replace bro, dropping gear at high speed cause great engine braking n strong pull fm the rear wheel, not lucky u will skid....what happen next u decide....ride safely bro

it can go fast and it will burn ur $$ fast also..gearbox all sure habis.. :)

i get what you mean. if u need the torque that badly, down gear, release to half clutch, then blast your throttle and release clutch (like u going 1st gear move off). That's how i with manual car. for under 200cc bikes, learn 1 super skill called "patience" and learn how to write "death" (translate to mandarin)

for bikes, problems already mentioned, enuff said.

I did the "half clutch" technique on my krr, it worked well but my clutch plates went botak within 1 month + :faint:

I still prefer the dropping gear technique den the half clutch one.. so far until i sold off my krr, the dropping gear technique didn't gave me any problem. But den again, i dun use it often, only to get away from scumbag cars who change lane w/o signalling...

bro bio|, try not to do it too often as u will definitely do harm to ur engine if u keep doing it. Somemore ur bike is having fc problems and 2 stroke engine wear and tear is very fast..

as for me, i dun drop gear anymore.. just open and close throttle is enuff to get away from killers driving boxes on a 400cc :cheeky:

as far as i know, revving engine too much is no good.

Actually the half - clutch method is crap, u onli see ur rpm rev higher but no power.:cheeky:

As long as you don't overrev (beyond the redline), the only problem you will encounter is faster wear and tear throughout the drivetrain. If you overspeed, you'll encounter TPs, but that's another problem altogether...

One thing to note, make sure your 2T pump is adjusted accordingly to your high-rev needs or else be prepare to encounter a jam... piston jam. Some forumers recommend premix... I am unsure of its effectiveness. Again, too much 2T and you'll see ROVs/LTAs... such is the irony of things. So my advice to you would be... keep your eyes open.

Sudden raising RPm eh... when you reduce the gear.. don't release the clutch before you rev the engine first. That will make your clutch don't "botak" faster.

BEcause when you drop down the gear.. the clutch rpm and flywheel rpm would be different. imagine..if the clutch spin @ 9000 rpm collide with flywheel that only spin @ 2000 rpm. thats why when doing this, your rear wheel sometimes locked.

sudden engine rev will damage:

cylinder surface,

timing chain,

piston's ring,

a chance that piston will crush the valves at redline

bro TS i think if u wanna save ur $$$ for more important stuff, i guess it wld be better if u stop e technique u're doing.. maybe upgrading bike would be e best alternative?? gd luck..:thumb:

err.. its not half clutch. it slightly abit from the biting point. good luck to your fuel 2t clutch plates.
