Hey Revoians does your ideing keep flicking, sometimes can go up to 1.9rpm. Is is true that ABS model will produce a "ssssss" "ssssss" sound from the front wheel when moving? The sound get obvious when your speed get higher . Any comments ? Its F**king irritating me!

If u just start ur bike , it will "auto warm up" ur bike by going up to ~2rpm, mine get higher by abit cos i change my end can, no matter it's cold start or start after sometime after ur ride, do let ur revo warm up, ur revo is considered "warm up" when u can open ur Vtec, as for the "sssss " "sssss" sound, its normal as ABS is activated when we just start our bike , it will sort of in "braking" mode, u just need to make sure u are traveling at the speed where it will deactivate ur ABS and brake both front and rear, this should eliminate the sound, if the sound still exist, did u just change ur brakepad? is yes there might be some particles at that area, last time the mechanic dunno how he do it till a small stone like object is in my caliper, causing the sound , went back there they say nothing wrong , have this sound because brake pads are new, in the end i took my brake pads out and found the stone =x

I find that its good as I have quite big hand. Comfy cos the grips are quite thick and soft. Been using it for almost a year. Riding long hours causes very little fatigue cos I bought the OEM BMW grips from Performance Motors.

Harris I'm not so sure. You can try Progrips Gel series. They are comfy too

how much is the progrip grips retailing at? Where to get them?

The Progrip can check with Regina or Ah Boy. They might have it.

I tried Version S and Spec II can hit 190. But dunno if analog meter accurate or not. So far I never try Revo yet cos I am still on 550 mileage. Dun intend to wack untill I hit about 800km and after 1 oil change. But so far I go at 110 still can feel going strong... I think definitely can hit above 160 ba. Anyway I am stock condition

If you drag every gear then shd be no problem to hit 160 or more... if gear already top and speed is ard 90-100 then whack finish throttle also 130-140... it a fuel injection bike... close abit and open again throttle shd bring to higher speed... well at least that's wat I did...

but I might be wrong on this... anyone can advise?

i always change gear at rpm 4 or 4.5. well this morning i tried again while riding to work, feels much much smoother now when riding around 140. guess when you're on mineral oil you cant really whack that hard.

Gd that you had your oil change. Do maintain a strict discipline on changing your EO at regular intervals.

Just came back from Malaysia via 2nd link... maintain at 140 then speed up to 165 effortlessly... throttle feel is there is still much space to whack... 180+ stock shd be no problem...

Last time I got to drive a toyota celica in malaysia and it cut at 175...

I brought the car to a workshop in KL to 'unlock' power cut for RM250...

The mechanic say it's normal all jap vehicle cut at 180...

So maybe our revo also have same fate...

Posted

Its actually a speed limiter... Cuts off your power at 180++km/h. Mine can reach 190+ a teeny weeny bit more...

I think the speed cut is dependant on models. Sports models definitely way past 180

hi im thinking of getting a revo once i pass my 2A test in feb, can anyone tell me what's the OTR price, which shop is good, and the average insurance for a 19 years old rider? :/ thanks in advance!

Cuhion damage or wrap damage or the plastic base damage? If just the cushion or the wrap can just re-do it at 219, JuzzWheelz or Eugene Saddlery. If the plastic base damage and you need the whole seat can try Chong Aik, FJT or Boon Siew.
