Hi All,

My 2 and a half months old bike seems to have roasted peanuts smell from the engine?

Anybody encounter similar issues?

Dunno whats causing it?

Anybody can advise me.

Thanks.

Did you polish your exhaust or engine cover with any polisher or certain coating, etc? Maybe bike heat up and cause the smell...

Hi bro, i used to use the octane booster thing (orange bottle i think) but of course not the whole bottle lah. my car abt 60 litres so divide by 3 cos s4 abt 20litres. so jz pour 1/3 of bottle..

but then its a lil ex so then i switched to those small bottles of boosters that u find jz beside the counter to pay (small bottle like vitagen bottles). use also 1/3 of the bottle..

improved my FC quite a bit. =)

shld i install PC and do the synconise thing.. btw pc i know but whats synconise ah?

its not sychonize, the bike needed to go for a dyno-run which produce a mapping for the PC.

1) If i put exhaust protector in the middle of the exhausts its okay right? as in it wont burn or something? instead of putting them at the end of the endcan

i used APA exhaust slider which is much more durable than those normal silicon sliders although the price is 3X of those normal ones.

u shld get it from Bro Godsendx from CMO as recommended by static369. =)

yea, mine is done by him too, loyal customer since he started. well recommended :)

I don't think so bro, as our bike is with ABS , any tampering with the brake related stuff might cause the ABS to malfunction, there was news where the first batch of ABS revo just activate itself halfway while the rider was travelling(not sure about the rider's fate), so it is best to leave it the way it is.

Ahmet, try to source for any company that does hydraulic hoses. They might be able to custom the length for you.

I sent a message on ebay to Hel Performance re the existing cb400 braided lines they had. They advised as below:

-----

I'm sorry, we do not have a kit available for your bike. Your best bet would be to contact our Australian manufacturer who will be able to duplicate your OEM lines if you send them to the factory.

Pyramid Plastics don't have any compatible ones for our CB400. Checked with BikeAddons in this forum already. But looking at the pics in the webby, the CBF 500/600/1000 might fit. Maybe you can give a fit check and update us. I'm keen in getting it too.

If so you should go to HEL Perf. to custom your hoses. That would be the best to go for.
