You can try the most common maxima, motul and so on. 10W30 is hard to find. But can use 10W40 or 10W50. No problem as there is no snow in Singapore.

Ya, was thinking of using Maxima Extra 10W40. Been using Maxima Extra 15W50 for the past 5 yrs+ for my previous ride.

Bro look for ahpek and try his eo. Magical I tell u. Try to believe! I changed my Eo with him the moment I finished running in 1000km. Immediate effect. U can feel the difference the moment u exit his carpark. Priceless! Worth every penny! Of u got spare cash do his grounding and be prepared to feel ur s4 fly. Got even more cash, fix the eps v8. Hahaha. I won't say much. You will only understand what iam saying if u take the step and approach the man himself.

Who's this ahpek ?

I recently sold all my stock items. Lol, u were a mnth too late. Anyways u can go straight to agent or dealer mah to buy the parts. If u want easier way, go republic motors ant shun li industrial, look for ahboon, tell revo with fz1n headlights recommended u and he will get it done.

I try getting from agents first as I don't like many mech's workmanship. I try to D.I.Y as much as possible. But thanks for the recommendation bro! I just started to dislike led signal lights. Just like to share my bad experience, my led signal light just stopped working after 1 week of installing it. As my bike did not come with the original signal lights, and I could not find halogen bulbs, I changed new set. Then It stopped working. If normal signal lights spoil, most of the time the bulb blows, change bulb(no matter how good quality) under $5. Change 1 set of new led signal light more the $30. Just want to stick t normal ones.

Thanks for the price range.

Hello guys, I'm buying a REVO soon. Base on your experience, do I need to change much parts or stock would be good enough? I'm not going for touring or track but mostly for commuting around only. Cuz I heard some said that the stock tires are slippery, must get a power stabilizer, etc.. Advice me please as I try to avoid unneccesary spending. Ur help is much appreciated. Thanks! :D

Bro,

Stock tire ok oredy.

How u think the michilin PR2. It's abt 350 but also slippy when wet, bcoz tyre contacted area just similar to ATM card size, it's depends to how u ride. Go fast easy but stop hard.

Hey everyone!

I'm collecting my Revo next week! :)

Thanks to all for the eedback on this thread.

any revo rider encounter very hot exhaust pipe after riding the bike... and i cant put the rubber protector.. it will melt...:(

This seems to be a common problem with the bike but are you sure the end can protector will melt? They are made to withstand really high temperatures.

I asked one dealer about this issue and he said that the earlier bikes do run very hot. Apparently they were so hot that the 4 header pipes glow after a long ride. He said that one solution is to remove the catalytic converters, which apparently restrict the exhaust flow too much that the pipes become very hot.

Perhaps the more experienced revo riders can shed some light on this.

Not really.

I did my 2A at BBDC and they use Revo bikes though I'm not sure if the tyres supplied to them are the same ones fitted to the bikes sold to the public. The tyres fitted on BBDC's bikes are crap! On the day I did my revision, it rained earlier but had stopped. So the road was still a little wet. I took a 90 deg corner at about 35km/h and the rear end slipped!

I've heard from some of my S4 rider friends that the Michelin Pilot Road 2 are good tyres. Definitely good life-span with good grip in the wet. Based on overseas reviews, the PR3 are even better but not sure if they are available in SG yet.

If the PR3 are available, I'll fit them. Meanwhile, I'm fitting Bridgestone 090s. Excellent grip in the wet :thumb:

.

It's called exhaust slider, cheap ones are prone to melt, i am using the APA exhaust slider which cost $60++ and nv melt before.

Do not remove the catalytic converters as it will mess up the A/F ratio of the bike unless u planning to fix a power commander to tune the bike up.

Its already available. But i still prefer my sportec M5 for S4

Hi Guys ,

Do anyone knows what to pay if someone would like to totally take over your bike who is currently under hire purchase with the bike shop?Pls advise.thank you.

That would be true if the bike comes with multiple O2(oxygen) sensors.

To save costs most EFI bike manufacturers fit only one O2 sensor. This is installed before the catalytic converters so that the ECU can ensure there is sufficient O2 in the exhaust gases in order for the converter to work in converting the gases as intended.

Some vehicles come with multiple sensors, i.e. they are fitted before and after the catalytic convertors. The sensor after the cat is to measure the gases to see if the cat does it's job as intended.

I've just checked the exhaust system of my 2008 Revo. There are no O2 sensors after the cats. So, removing the cats wouldn't affect the A/F ratio.

But then again, I wouldn't remove the cats on my bike as it is not environmentally friendly (also don't want to die earlier from breathing in the poisonous gas... :p)

The better solution is to do what @SparkerS1 did, i.e. fit aftermarket end-can for better exhaust flow. Best but more expensive solution is to install aftermarket full system exhausts that come with it's own cat converters.

that would depend on your hire purchase agreement. some have early settlement fee and some don't. best to check your agreement and confirm with bike shop. some bike shop may also allow you to "negotiate" early settlement.

Other than that, there is the transfer fee. This will depend on who is going to do the transfer.

cheers

Hey bros,

when riding i feel my ride very bumpy. I think tyre uneven wear. Another issue is when the road slightly uneven i can feel my bike will like auto fish tail.

I think is due to the wheel bearing?

Anyone encounter any of this before? Advise will be greatly appreciated.

Im using my 3rd set of PR2. If u want more grip tyre pressure should be reduce to 230-250 but the mileage will slightly reduce.

High pressure: +Speed but -grip.

Low pressure: -speed but +grip.

Not really.

No idea wat's the price for a brand new 1.

I bought a 23-mth old (FBE 3-digit plate) Super Bold'or Revo (agent bike with ABS & tri-color livery) for $13.8K (machine price) from a bikeshop 3 wks ago.

Good question and it's quite interesting because I just downloaded a copy of the owner's manual (from Aust. website). Looks authentic and is for Singapore & Australia models. This manual states that Honda recommends 12,000km or 12 months, whichever comes first, for engine oil and oil filter replacement.

Can someone please check your hard-copy of the manual? I just got my used Revo and I don't have a copy.

Thanks
